British Columbia is the westernmost province of Canada. Burnaby Mountain, elev. 370 m (1,214 ft), is a low, forested mountain in the city of Burnaby, British Columbia, overlooking the upper arms of Burrard Inlet. Ashleigh McIvor DeMerit is a Canadian retired freestyle skier currently residing in Whistler, British Columbia. McIvor was a member of the Canadian national ski cross team and became the first gold medal winner of women's ski cross at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She is also a former world champion in ski cross and has a second-place finish at the Winter X Games to her credit as well.

Mount Seymour Provincial Park is a park in Vancouver, British Columbia's North Shore Mountains. Brandon Semenuk is a Canadian freeride mountain biker and rally racer from Whistler, British Columbia. Semenuk is a three-time Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour Gold Medalist. He is a five-time Red Bull Joyride winner, X-Games Real MTB Gold Medalist (2021), and X-Games Silver medalist (2013) in the Mountain Bike Slopestyle event. Red Bull Rampage winner; 2008, 2016, 2019 and 2021 - the 1st person to win Rampage four-times. He is known to be "always emulated, never imitated" and is known as one of the best slopestyle/freeride mountain bikers in history.
