The Curdridge Country Show is an annual show held in Curdridge, Hampshire, England. The event is held mid-July on a Saturday, and attracts up to 7000 attendees each year. 2013 will be the show's 57th year.

Curdridge village in the United Kingdom

Curdridge is a village and civil parish within the City of Winchester district of Hampshire, England. Also located within the parish is the similarly named village of Curbridge. The village has a small school. The parish is located eight miles to the east of Southampton and had a population of 1,292 people in 473 households in the 2001 census, the population increasing to 1,398 in 520 households at the 2011 Census. Curdridge is also known for its annual Curdridge Country Show that takes place in a field off Reading Room Lane

Hampshire County of England

Hampshire is a county on the southern coast of England. The county town, with city status, is Winchester, a frequent seat of the Royal Court before any fixed capital, in late Anglo-Saxon England. After the metropolitan counties and Greater London, Hampshire is the most populous ceremonial county in the United Kingdom. Its two largest settlements, Southampton and Portsmouth, are administered separately as unitary authorities and the rest of the area forms the administrative county, which is governed by Hampshire County Council.

The show is a traditional family orientated country fair, and showcases a variety of competitions and events, such as the ‘Dog Factor’ dog show, falconry display, vintage car parade and much more. There is also the popular horticultural competition with dozens of categories ranging from fruit cake to roses, as well as a good number of trade and craft stalls selling their wares and providing demonstrations. The fair also has a selection of traditional side shows such as a coconut shy, plate smashing and tombolas. A barbecue, hog roast and bar provide refreshments for the duration of the event. A traditional barn dance is held on the Saturday evening to close the event.
