The Falls Theater is a theater located in River Falls, Wisconsin in the United States. The theater has been operating since 1927.
The first theater in River Falls opened from May to July 1908 and was named The Electric Theater Company. The theater was renamed The Gem November 1909. The showtimes were 7, 8, and 9 o'clock at a cost of 5 to 10 cents. It was the only theater in town until The Princess opened in 1911. After a fire in 1926 that destroyed three buildings on the west side of Main street, plans were set in motion for a new and more modern theater to be built. [1]

The Falls Theater was built from January to July 1927, costing $25,000. Owned by Phil Ramer and Emil Carisch, it was leased by the George E. Miner Amusement Company from 1927 to 1952. The theater contained leather seats, curtains to reduce noise and light, two bathrooms, and two projectors. The first film to be shown was Painting the Town, with a price of 10-25 cents.[ citation needed ] The theater bought a neon sign in 1936. Although it did not have any concessions available, if popcorn was desired, it could be purchased across the street. During World War II, management changed to Archie McClellan. In 1952, the theater was sold to Jan and Agnes Morey of Minneapolis, who sold it three years later to Herbert Stolzman, who has made his career in the theater business. He remodeled the front, added a modern sign, which is still there today, and added a drink machine to a newer concession stand. After 17 years, he sold the theater to Stan McCulloch, who operated it until his death in January 2002. [2] The theater is still owned and operated by McCulloch's family, and contains a large stage/screen and a second smaller screen completed in 2018.

It is located at 1717 West 12th Street, at the corner of Division and West 12th Street on "museum hill," near Fejervary Park. It is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution.
Goodrich Theater NewCo, LLC. is a chain of 22 movie theaters, headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, representing a total of 174 screens in the United States. The majority of GQT Movies' locations are in Michigan, but other locations could be found in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Alabama, and Pennsylvania. The company filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in February 2020. All employees were terminated March 19, 2020 without notice largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as many movie theaters were closed by government order in many states. In last July 2020, the company began reopening some of their locations. By the end of the year it had reopened its 22 locations.
The Tulsa Theater is a theater and convention hall located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was originally completed in 1914 and remodeled in 1930 and 1952. The building was used as a detention center during the 1921 Tulsa race massacre. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains in use as a theater today. The theater was previously named after W. Tate Brady but was renamed in 2019 due to Brady's affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan.

The Civic Theatre of Allentown, also known as the Nineteenth Street Theatre, is the oldest cinema in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The theater opened on September 17, 1928. It hosts live theater, educational programs, and screens art house films. In July 1957, the property was purchased by Allentown's Civic Little Theatre. Since then, stage productions have been performed at the theater. In 1994 the company officially changed its name to the Civic Theatre of Allentown.

The Mar-Va Theater is a historic theater located in Pocomoke City, Worcester County, Maryland. It was constructed in 1927 and is a two-story, three-bay building of brick laid in stretcher bond. The interior reflects an extensive Art Deco style redecoration carried out in 1937 including narrow silver columns on either side of the stage and embellishments on the side walls. It is currently operated as a performing arts center.

The Davis Theater, originally known as the Pershing Theater, is a first run movie theater located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago. Built in 1918, the theater has operated in different capacities in its history, showing silent films, German-language films, and various forms of stage performance. In 1999, the Davis was planned to be demolished to build residential condos, but the plans were cancelled in part due to a negative response from the community. It is one of the few operating neighborhood movie theaters in Chicago. Its building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The Hotel Beacon is a Beaux-Arts, 24-story building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City, designed by Walter W. Ahlschlager. It was built in 1928 at 2130 Broadway, at the corner with 75th Street, on the site of the Tilden Club House and the Dakota Stables.
The Embassy Theatre, also known as the Embassy 1 Theatre, is a former movie theater at 1560 Broadway, along Times Square, in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, the theater opened in 1925 on the ground floor of 1560 Broadway, the headquarters of the Actors' Equity Association. While no longer in use as a theater, the space is preserved as a New York City designated landmark, and it continues to operate as a store.
