The Flying Doctor was a popular British radio series on the BBC Light Programmes from 1958 to 1963 about the Australian flying doctor service. [1] [2] [3]

The show was very popular in Britain and influenced the image of Australians. [4] [5]

It was adapted from the TV series The Flying Doctor (1959).

Episodes lasted half an hour. [6]

Many episodes were written by Rex Rienits. [7] It was produced by Vernon Harris.
