A Webby Award is an award for excellence on the Internet presented annually by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a judging body composed of over two thousand industry experts and technology innovators. Categories include websites, advertising and media, online film and video, mobile sites and apps, and social.
Epicurious is a digital brand for consumers interested in food and cooking-related topics. The website was created by Condé Nast in 1995 and is part of the publisher's Food Innovation Group. His interactive video pieces are integral to Tate Tracks, a marketing campaign for the Tate Gallery which won a Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. His work is discussed in an interview with Betsy Isaacson for The Huffington Post. In 2014 he gave a TEDx talk about his interactive film Lifesaver.
GameZombie TV is a web series that produces original video game shows. GameZombie was the recipient of a Webby Honoree Award for Online Video in 2008 and 2009, a Davey Award, a Webby Award, and a People's Voice Webby Award in 2010, and nominated a finalist for Best Web Video at the 4th Annual Mashable Awards. The student-run game media studio, based out of the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and Indiana University at Bloomington, has amassed one of the most complete video game developer interview series on the web. GameZombie has created upwards of 450 videos for online distribution. GameZombie's videos have amassed over 8,000,000 unique, aggregate views since the company's first video went online in March 2007. The YouTube Streamy Awards, also known as the Streamy Awards or Streamys, are presented annually by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter to recognize and honor excellence in online video, including directing, acting, producing, and writing. The formal ceremony at which the awards are presented takes place in Los Angeles, California. They were the first envelope-opening live-streamed award show.

This award ceremony for the first time introduced category awards beyond Websites in the three new super-categories: Interactive Advertising, Mobile & Apps, and Online Film & Video.
Sonicsgate: Requiem for a Team is a 2009 documentary film chronicling the history of the Seattle SuperSonics. The SuperSonics were a professional basketball franchise based in Seattle, Washington, that was a member of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Sonics played from 1967 until 2008, but relocated from Seattle to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and were renamed as the Thunder.
Laurent Touil-Tartour is a French film director, screenwriter, producer. He is known for writing, directing and producing the web series Urban Wolf (2010). His works have been described by the American Film Institute, Wired Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and others as "original and visionary". In 2010 Touil-Tartour licensed the worldwide distribution rights of Urban Wolf to Sony Pictures Entertainment. In 2011 Touil-Tartour has signed with film director/producer Michael Bay's production company The Institute to direct feature films, commercials, video games, web content and/or TV shows.
The 6th Annual Webby Awards was held on June 21, 2002, at San Francisco's Legion of Honor auditorium. The 13th annual 2009 Webby Awards were held in New York City on June 8, 2009. They were hosted by SNL head writer Seth Meyers, and the lifetime achievement award was given to Jimmy Fallon. The awards were judged by the 650-person International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and winners were selected from among nearly 10,000 entries from 60 countries and all 50 United States. Voting by the public was available prior to April 30, and over 500,000 votes were cast. The awards ceremony was made available for viewers via the official Webby YouTube channel.
Zadi Diaz is the Executive Producer of YouTube Nation. She is a producer and director, known for founding the web series Epic Fu and co-hosting the podcast New Mediacracy. She has won a number of Webby and Streamy Awards.
Noggin is an entertainment brand launched on February 2, 1999 as a joint venture between Viacom's Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop. The Jim Henson Company also held a stake in Noggin when it was launched. The brand was first advertised as both a linear television channel and an interactive website. The brand has since expanded to include a mobile subscription app, a second website, and four defunct programming blocks in the United States and United Kingdom. It was initially aimed at a teen and pre-teen audience, but it shifted its target demographic to preschool children on April 1, 2002.
The 23rd annual Webby Awards were held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on May 13, 2019, and hosted by actress Jenny Slate. The Webby Awards have been dubbed the "internet's highest honor".
