The Furious is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Kenji Tanigaki and written by Mak Tin Shu. It stars Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Jeeja Yanin, Yang Enyu and Yayan Ruhian.
In April 2024, it was revealed that an action thriller film titled The Furious was in development, with Tanigaki Kenji directing and Mak Tin Shu writing the screenplay. Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Jeeja Yanin, Yang Enyu and Yayan Ruhian joined the main cast. The film is financed and produced by Edko Films of Hong Kong, with the American XYZ Films co-producing and handling world sales. Producer Bill Kong stated that the film would reset and reinvent the martial arts genre. [1]

Merantau, released in some countries as Merantau Warrior, is a 2009 Indonesian martial arts action film written, directed and edited by Gareth Huw Evans, and starring Iko Uwais. The film, which marks Uwais' debut as an actor, is the first collaboration between director Evans and star Uwais. It also marks the acting debut of Yayan Ruhian, both of whom Evans met while shooting for a documentary in Indonesia which became his introduction to the Pencak Silat martial art.

Johannes Taslim, known professionally as Joe Taslim, is an Indonesian actor and martial artist. He was a member of Indonesia’s national judo team from 1997 to 2009, becoming a three-time medalist at the Southeast Asian Games, and a Gold medalist at the 2008 Pekan Olahraga Nasional.
The Night Comes for Us is a 2018 Indonesian action thriller film written and directed by Timo Tjahjanto. It was originally conceived as a screenplay and then adapted into a graphic novel, before finally being released as a film. In December 2014, Tjahjanto confirmed he was working with Indonesian artist hub Glitch Network to adapt his original screenplay into comic form. Skyline: Warpath is an upcoming American science fiction action film written and directed by Liam O'Donnell. It stars Iko Uwais, Scott Adkins, Louis Mandylor, Randall Bacon and Yayan Ruhian. It is the fourth installment in the Skyline film series, serving as a sequel to Skylines (2020).
Kenji Tanigaki is a Japanese action choreographer and film director best known for his works in Hong Kong action cinema, and has expanded his career in Japanese cinema and Hollywood. Inspired by Jackie Chan's action films, Tanigaki migrated to Hong Kong in 1993 to pursue a career in action choreography. He began his career by collaborating with Donnie Yen in the ATV martial arts drama series Fist of Fury (1995). Since then, Tanigaki has participated in numerous Hong Kong action films, serving as a stunt coordinator in SPL: Sha Po Lang (2005), Flash Point (2007), Bodyguards and Assassins (2009), Wu Xia (2011), Raging Fire (2021), and Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In (2024), and as an action director in See You Tomorrow (2016), Monster Hunt 2, and Hidden Man. Tanigaki won Best Action Choreography in the 55th Golden Horse Awards for Hidden Man and Best Action Choreography in the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards for Raging Fire.
