The Horrifying Truth is the debut studio album by New Zealand rock band I Am Giant, released on 1 August 2011. [2] It debuted at No. 2 [3] and has been certified Gold in New Zealand. [4] The album became the highest selling NZ rock album of 2011.
With the increasing interest in the band in Asia and Europe, the album was also released in Asia on 23 March 2012, and in the UK on 8 October 2012. [5] [6]
The Horrifying Truth was recorded from January to April 2011 with acclaimed Australian alternative rock producer/engineer Forrester Savell. The album was recorded in Sony Studios in Sydney and Forrester's studio at Sing Sing Studios in Melbourne. I Am Giant bassist Paul Matthews and drummer Shelton Woolright became the album's co-producers.
Three singles have been released from the album. "And We'll Defy" was released on 10 June 2011, [1] with the accompanying music video released onto YouTube on 15 July 2011. [7] Music video for "Let It Go" was released onto YouTube on 2 December 2011, [8] and for "Purple Heart" – on 27 April 2012. [9]

Love in Motion is the fourth studio album by New Zealand singer-songwriter Anika Moa. The album's underlying theme is love. Moa's civil partner, Azaria Universe, was her biggest influence when writing the album. With Love in Motion, Moa moved from the folk and country pop influences of In Swings the Tide to a pop rock sound. Highly Suspect is an American rock band from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The band consists of twin brothers Rich and Ryan Meyer, Johnny Stevens, and Matt Kofos. After starting as a bar cover band, they relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where they recorded The Worst Humans EP with producer Joel Hamilton. The band's first studio album, Mister Asylum, was released on July 17, 2015, earning Highly Suspect a nomination for Best Rock Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. The song "Lydia" was also nominated for Best Rock Song. Their second studio album, The Boy Who Died Wolf, was released on November 18, 2016. Two singles have been released from the album, "My Name Is Human", which topped the Billboard US Mainstream Rock Songs chart, and "Little One", which peaked at number 2 on the same chart. Highly Suspect's third studio album, MCID, was released on November 1, 2019.
Paul Michael Matthews is a New Zealand musician, songwriter, and record producer based in London (UK). He co-founded I Am Giant in 2008 and is the band's bass guitarist and songwriter. He was also the bass guitarist for New Zealand bands Stylus and Tadpole. Matthews also began producing records in 2002 with Blindspott's Self-titled Triple Platinum debut album. Matthews has since produced music for Six 60, Opshop and Setting Fire to Stacey among others.
