The International Golf Club & Resort (commonly referred to as The International) is a 36 hole golf course located in Bolton, Massachusetts. At one time,[ when? ] it had the longest 18 hole course in the United States and in 2022 hosted the LIV Golf Invitational Boston.
The International was originally a nine-hole public course founded as Runaway Brook Golf Club in 1899. [1] The course was purchased in the 1950s by Albert Surprenant [2] and the original course was replaced by an 18 hole layout known as the Pines. [3] The course filed for bankruptcy in 2020, citing the COVID-19 pandemic. It was subsequently purchased by Escalante Golf for $10 million. [4]

The International is a 36 hole private golf course. It has two 18 hole courses on the property, the Pines and the Oaks. The Pines was originally designed by Geoffrey Cornish [5] and later redesigned by Robert Trent Jones. [6] At one times was the longest 18 hole course in the United States, [6] but was shortened with a redesign by golf architecture firm Coore & Crenshaw. [7]

The AT&T Byron Nelson is a golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour, currently hosted by TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, northeast of Dallas. Held in May, it is one of two PGA Tour stops in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex – which until the 2020-21 PGA Tour, was the only metropolitan area to host two events on separate courses in the area. The tournament is the leading fundraiser for charity on the PGA Tour and has raised more than $143 million. For much of its history, it was the only PGA Tour stop named after a professional golfer, and remains one of only two such events, along with the Arnold Palmer Invitational. As host, Byron Nelson (1912–2006) commonly made appearances during the tournament. It is hosted by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, a 600-member civic organization, and has benefited the club's nonprofit Momentous Institute since its inception.
Pine Valley Golf Club is a golf course in Pine Valley, Camden County, in southern New Jersey. It was ranked the number one course in Golf Magazine's 100 Top Courses in the U.S. and the World in 2012, 2015, 2019, 2020 and 2023. It is a private club, and non-members can play only if invited and accompanied by a member. Pine Valley is currently ranked number one in Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses.

Oak Tree National, formerly called Oak Tree Golf Club, is a golf and country club located in the Oklahoma City suburb of Edmond, Oklahoma. The course was designed by Pete Dye, and it opened in 1976. It plays to a par 71.
The Country Club, located in Brookline, Massachusetts, is the oldest golf-oriented country club in the United States. It holds an important place in golf history, as it is one of the five charter clubs that founded the United States Golf Association, and has hosted numerous USGA tournaments including the 1913 U.S. Open won by then-unknown Francis Ouimet. Although the club has 1300 members, it is known for its exclusivity.
Trump National Doral Miami is a golf resort in Doral in South Florida in the United States. It was founded by real estate pioneer Alfred Kaskel in 1962, with the name "Doral" coming from an amalgamation of the first names of Kaskel and his wife, Doris. Dustin Hunter Johnson is an American professional golfer. He has won two major championships, the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club with a 4-under-par score of 276 and the 2020 Masters Tournament with a record score of 268, 20-under-par. He had previously finished in a tie for second at both the 2011 Open Championship and the 2015 U.S. Open. He has six World Golf Championships victories, with only Tiger Woods having won more, and was the first and only player to win each of the four World Golf Championship events. He has played in The LIV Golf League since 2022.
The Hyannisport Club is a private club located in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. The club's origins spring from a late 19th century summer resident and golf enthusiast named John Reid who created a handful of holes against Nantucket Sound. Over subsequent decades, the club purchased more land and eventually expanded into a full 18-hole course. In the 1930s, Hyannisport was re-designed by the famed golf course architect Donald Ross. The course is also strongly associated with the Kennedy family. It was a "deciding factor" for Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. to purchase a summer house in the village and was the home course of President John F. Kennedy. Hyannisport remains one of the most notable clubs in the state, having been voted one of the top courses in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe and Golf Digest.
Omni Amelia Island Resort is a luxury resort community located on Amelia Island, Florida, the westernmost barrier island on the Atlantic Ocean in the U.S. The resort's tennis facility hosted the Bausch & Lomb Championships, a major Women's Tennis Association tournament, for 20 years. The 402-room hotel on the property is now part of Omni Hotels & Resorts.
Vesper Country Club is a private club in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. The club derives from two late 19th century institutions, Vesper Boat Club and Lowell Country Club, which merged in 1894. The following year, members started creating a golf course originally consisting of six "links." In the late 1910s, the course commissioned Donald Ross to create a full 18-hole course. Though the course met with praise the ensuing decades were hard for Vesper. In the 1920s the clubhouse burnt down and in the 1930s a flood nearly destroyed the course. Since then, however, the club's history has been largely stable and the course has hosted several notable events, including the Massachusetts Open and Massachusetts Amateur several times.
Farm Neck Golf Club is a semi-private golf club located in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, United States. In the 1970s, a real estate company named Strock Enterprises intended to create a golf course and housing developments on a peninsula within the town but locals felt they were not maintaining a conservationist ethic. The Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts ruled against Strock which soon thereafter went bankrupt. Farm Neck Associates then bought the territory and created a golf course with the intent to preserve the environment. The 18-hole course has earned plaudits from notable publications and hosted President Clinton and President Obama while on vacation.
Brooks Koepka is an American professional golfer who plays in the LIV Golf League. He formerly played on the PGA Tour. In October 2018, Koepka became world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking and remained for 47 weeks after winning the 2018 CJ Cup. He won the U.S. Open in 2017 and 2018, and the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019, becoming the first golfer in history to hold back-to-back titles in two majors simultaneously. In 2023 Koepka won the PGA Championship for the third time, bringing his total to five majors won within six years. He started his career on the European Challenge Tour and eventually the European Tour. Koepka played college golf at Florida State University.
Joaquín Niemann is a Chilean professional golfer. He won twice on the PGA Tour, before joining LIV Golf in 2022. He was the number one ranked amateur golfer from May 2017 to April 2018.
The Match is a series of exhibition match play golf challenge matches that began in 2018. The event features major professional golfers or other notable athletes facing each other in a head-to-head competition. The format has varied throughout the run of the event; in all of the events, sports entertainment elements were included, particularly with the inclusion of sports betting elements in that the contestants wager portions of their prize on side bets during the contest. TNT Sports has televised all eight iterations of the event. Since 2020, two iterations of The Match have been held each year, one in the spring or early summer and the other (usually) on Thanksgiving weekend. The Thanksgiving contest features professional golfers, often paired with an athlete from another sport; the spring contests, taking place during the PGA Tour season, normally consist solely of non-golfers, which to date have consisted of current or retired American football and basketball players competing during their respective sports' offseasons.
LIV Golf is a professional men's golf tour. The name "LIV" refers to the Roman numerals for 54, the score if every hole on a par-72 course were birdied and the number of holes to be played at LIV events. The first LIV Golf Invitational Series event started on 9 June 2022, at the Centurion Club near St Albans in Hertfordshire, UK. The Invitational Series became the LIV Golf League in 2023.
Royal Greens Golf & Country Club is a golf club located in King Abdullah Economic City, around 100 km north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It has hosted tournaments on the European Tour, Asian Tour, and the Ladies European Tour. It is scheduled to host one of eight tournaments in the inaugural season of the LIV Golf Invitational Series, financed by the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia.
The 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series was the inaugural season of LIV Golf. The season consisted of seven 54-hole tournaments, featuring 48 players and no cut, with a team championship event at the season end.
The LIV Golf Invitational Boston was a golf tournament held in Bolton, Massachusetts, outside of Boston at The Oaks Golf Course at The International. The tournament was held in September 2022 as part of the LIV Golf Invitational Series, a golf series led by Greg Norman and funded by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. The 2022 48-player field included Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed and Sergio García.
