The Label: The Story of Columbia Records is a 2007 book by Gary Marmorstein, about the rise of Columbia Records. [1] [2] It covers how it made its way from the beginning: from signing its own artists, to making them celebrities.
Poison the Well is an American metalcore band from Miami, Florida who were last signed to Ferret Music. In 2010, they announced a hiatus to explore other interests. Lead guitarist Ryan Primack and drummer Christopher Hornbrook were the only remaining founding members, although vocalist Jeffrey Moreira featured on all five of their full-length albums. CMJ Holdings Corp. is a music events, online media company and a distributor of up and coming music CDs, originally founded in 1978, which ran a website, hosted an annual festival in New York City, and published two magazines, CMJ New Music Monthly and CMJ New Music Report. The company folded around 2017, but was bought by Amazing Radio in 2019 who announced plans to bring back the CMJ Music Marathon in New York, along with other new live and live-streamed offerings. The letters CMJ originally stood for College Media Journal but was also often considered short for College Music Journal.

Re-Constriction Records was a division of Cargo Music based in California. The label was founded in 1992 and headed by Chase, who was previously the Music Director at KCR, a student radio station on the campus of San Diego State University. They specialized in releasing bands belonging to the industrial, aggrotech and EBM genres.
Apartment Life is the second studio album by American band Ivy, released by Atlantic Records on October 6, 1997. After being dropped from Seed Records following the release of Realistic in 1995, the group signed to Atlantic due to connections that Adam Schlesinger had with the record label. In addition to band members Andy Chase and Schlesinger, the album was produced by Lloyd Cole and Peter Nashel. In contrast to their previous releases, such as Lately (1994) and Realistic, Apartment Life is a pop album with varying forms of production consisting of keyboards, brass, and string instruments. Some of the compositions featured on the record were compared to the works of My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, and the Smiths. To promote the album, Ivy embarked on a series of promotional tours across the United States.
Through The Darkness is the third album by New York City glam punk band D Generation. It was their second released via Columbia Records, and their last release until 2016. It is the only D Generation album without founding member and guitarist Richard Bacchus, who was replaced by Todd Youth. The album was produced by T. Rex and David Bowie producer Tony Visconti. Drummer Michael Wildwood's writing credits on "Lonely" and "Cornered" are listed under his actual name of "Michael Reich."

The Body Lovers and The Body Haters were experimental music projects led by composer Michael Gira between 1998 and 1999 following the breakup of Swans in 1997. Hexedene were an English electro-industrial group comprising vocalist Katie Helsby and guitarists Ian Palmer and Jonathan Sharp. They were recognized for fusing techno and industrial with leading female vocals. Helsby and Palmer signed their project Streem to a large record label after recording sessions finished for Hexedene's first album and as a result departed to leave Sharp as the sole member. The band released two albums: Choking on Lilies in 1997 and Bullet Proof Diva's in 2001.
