The Ramayana, also known as Valmiki Ramayana, as traditionally attributed to Valmiki, is a smriti text from ancient India, one of the two important epics of Hinduism known as the Itihasas, the other being the Mahabharata. The epic narrates the life of Rama, a prince of Ayodhya in the kingdom of Kosala. The epic follows his fourteen-year exile to the forest urged by his father King Dasharatha, on the request of Rama's stepmother Kaikeyi; his travels across forests in the Indian subcontinent with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana; the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana, the king of Lanka, that resulted in war; and Rama's eventual return to Ayodhya along with Sita to be crowned king amidst jubilation and celebration.
Lakshmana, also known as Laxmana, Saumitra and Ramanuja, is a Hindu god and the younger brother of Rama in the Hindu epic Ramayana. He is considered as an incarnation of Shesha, the lord of serpents. Lakshmana was married to Urmila, and is known for his loyalty and dedication towards Rama.

Sundara Kanda is the fifth book in the Hindu epic Ramayana. Sundara Kanda is the only chapter of the Ramayana in which the principal protagonist is not Rama, but Hanuman. The work depicts the adventures of Hanuman and his selflessness, strength, and devotion to Rama are emphasised in the text. Hanuman is believed to have been fondly called “Sundara” by his mother Anjani, and Sage Valmiki is stated to have chosen this name over others as the Sundara Kanda is about Hanuman's journey to Lanka.
Godavari is a 2006 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Sekhar Kammula, and produced by G. V. G. Raju. Sumanth and Kamalinee Mukherjee played the lead roles. The film was a commercial success at the box office in addition to receiving unanimous critical acclaim. It won several Nandi and Filmfare awards. The music of the film was composed by K. M. Radha Krishnan. There is a similarity in the names of the protagonists and the cruise boat on the river Godavari. This film was later dubbed In Hindi as Jheel Se Gehra Pyar. The film was an above average grosser in India but was successful in the US. Godavari is considered a modern day classic by some critics
Major Chandrakanth is a 1993 Indian Telugu-language film, produced by Mohan Babu under his Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Mohan Babu, Sharada, Ramya Krishna, Nagma and has music composed by M. M. Keeravani. N. T. Rama Rao portrayed the characters of Chhatrapati Shivaji, Veerapandiya Kattabomman, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the Punyabhumi Naa Desam song.
Baamma Maata Bangaru Baata is a 1989 Indian Telugu-language comedy film produced by M. Saravan and M. Balasubramanian of AVM Productions and directed by Rajasekhar. It stars Bhanumathi Ramakrishna, Rajendra Prasad, Gautami and Nutan Prasad, with music composed by Chandrabose. The film is a remake of AVM's Tamil film Paatti Sollai Thattathe (1988).

The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nayanthara, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Srikanth, and its music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, which won him Nandi Award for Best Music Director. Sri Rama Rajyam is a remake of the 1963 blockbuster film Lava Kusa.
