The Light Under Closed Doors is the fourth and final studio album by American rock band The Swellers. The album charted at number 10 on Billboard 's Vinyl Albums chart.

Background

On April 8, 2013, the band announced they were recording their next album. [2] On May 21, the band posted they were in the mixing process. [3]

Release

On May 24, 2013, the band announced they had signed to independent label No Sleep Records. [4] In June and July, the group went on Warped Tour. [5] On August 6, The Light Under Closed Doors was announced for release in October, revealing its track listing and artwork. In addition, "Should" was made available for streaming via MTV. [6] On August 23, "Becoming Self-Aware" was made available for streaming. [7] On September 27, a music video was released for "High/Low". [8] On October 1, "Big Hearts" was made available for streaming via Alternative Press . [9] In October and November, the group embarked on US tour that visited house parties, pizza parlors and skate rinks, among other venues. [10] The Light Under Closed Doors was released on October 29. [6] On December 4, a music video for "Got Social" was premiered on MTVu. [11] In March, the group supported I Am the Avalanche on their headlining US tour. [12] Following this, the group embarked on a UK tour in April and May. [13]

Following Wildrick's return to the band in April 2011, the group began demoing songs for their next album the following month. With New Found Glory guitarist Steve Klein standing in as producer, the group recorded their second album at Cannon Found Soundation Studios in New Jersey in June. Following this, the band went on a European tour with Polar Bear Club. After the album was announced in August 2011, "Dead End Dreams" was made available for streaming later that month, followed by "Spunn" in mid-September.

By the end of the year, vocalist/guitarist Alex Gaskarth said Dirty Work was "kind of dead in the water", prompting the band to work on their next album shortly afterwards. After completing a week of pre-production in April 2012, the band started recording Don't Panic with Mike Green, in Los Angeles, California and finished in May. The album features appearances from Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday, Anthony Raneri of Bayside and Jason Vena of Acceptance.

Knuckle Puck is an American rock band, formed in 2010 in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The group started out covering songs, before the band members started writing songs in April 2011. Following this, the group released a number of EPs, one of which, While I Stay Secluded (2014), peaked at number 5 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
