The Lines were a four-piece indie rock band from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England who were signed to Amboy Road Records. Previously had released their debut single on Weekender Records in February 2008.
The Lines formed in 2006 with lifetime school friends Dean Bate and Alex Ohm, who went on to release their debut single 'Domino Effect' on Weekender Records on 25 February 2008. Edwards & Titley left the group in late 2008. The band split up in 2013.
The Lines achieved various support slots between 2006 and 2008 which included The Killers, Editors, The Maccabees, The Twang, The Charlatans, Babyshambles, Jack Peñate, Supergrass, Ian Brown and Good Shoes. They also headlined at Birmingham ArtsFest and the Bang Music Festival at Donington Park, in front of 80,000 people.
On 11 February 2008, the band performed an acoustic version of their debut single during the half-time at the Wolverhampton Wanderers versus Stoke City Championship football match to more than 28,000 people. [1] The Lines staged concerts of their own, including sell-out shows at local Wolverhampton venues Little Civic, Civic Bar and, on 23 February 2008, the 1,200 capacity Wulfrun Hall.
In April 2010 the latest line up of the band signed to Independent Record Label; Amboy Road Records Ltd for the release of their eponymously titled debut album. Released on 11 October 2010, this was supported by a 16 date UK tour including the sold out album launch held at Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall on 8 October 2010. It was during this tour that the Lines became signed to X-ray Touring, home of artists such as Green Day, Blur and Take That. Shortly after they played at CMJ Music Marathon festival in New York, where they joined the roster of High Road Touring, home to many artists including Kaiser Chiefs, The Macabees and Paul Weller.
After a short break over the Christmas period, the Lines embarked on a much larger UK tour, including venues such as Glasgow's King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, The Sugar Mill in Stoke and the HMV Institute in Birmingham, leading up to another North American invasion in the form of Canadian Music Week, followed closely by the extremely prestigious SXSW music festival in Austin Texas, playing a number of gigs including the closing festival "The Big One".
They played a summer of urban festivals, including the Camden Crawl, Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City and Dot to Dot; support slots with Ash and Ocean Colour Scene; and dates with Peter Doherty on his solo tour.
On Saturday 25 May 2013, The Lines announced they had split up on their official Facebook and Twitter pages. The Twitter announcement stated, "It's been fun but it's time to go. Thank you all for the most brilliant support. Big love to you x"

The Wolverhampton Civic Hall is a music venue in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. It has been one of the most notable live music venues in the county for several decades. It is part of a complex also including Wulfrun Hall and the Slade Rooms. The complex is owned and managed by Wolverhampton City Council and is a Grade II listed building.
The Levellers are an English folk rock band formed in Brighton, England in 1988, consisting of Mark Chadwick, Jeremy Cunningham, Charlie Heather (drums), Jon Sevink (violin), Simon Friend, and Matt Savage (keyboards). Taking their name from the Levellers political movement, the band released their first EP in 1989 and LP in 1990, with international success following upon signing to China Records and the release of their second album Levelling the Land. The band were among the most popular indie bands in Britain in the early 1990s, and headlined at the Glastonbury Festival in 1994, where they performed on The Pyramid Stage to a record crowd of 300,000 people. They continue to record and tour.
Ned's Atomic Dustbin are an English rock band formed in Stourbridge, West Midlands, in November 1987. The band took their name from an episode of radio comedy programme The Goon Show. The band are unusual for using two bass-players in their line-up: Alex Griffin plays melody lines high up on one bass, and Matt Cheslin plays the regular bass lines on the other. This gives the band a tense and highly driven sub-hardcore sound featuring distorted effects-laden guitar and energetic drums.
The Farm are a British band from Liverpool. Their first album, Spartacus, reached the top position in the UK Albums Chart when it was released in March 1991; Spartacus 30 was released in 2021 to commemorate the anniversary. Spartacus includes two songs which had been top 10 singles the year before. In 2012, they toured with their Spartacus Live shows and formed part of The Justice Tonight Band, supporting The Stone Roses at Heaton Park, Phoenix Park, Lyon and Milan. The Justice Collective had the 2012 Christmas number one with their recording of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother".
The View are a Scottish indie rock band. They incorporate various styles such as punk, pop, alternative rock, and folk in their music. They are best known for their 2007 single "Same Jeans" which reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.
The Dykeenies are a Scottish indie rock band from Cumbernauld, formed in 2005. The group consists of brothers Brian Henderson and Andrew Henderson, along with Steven Ramsay and John Kerr. Since their formation, they have released one studio album, Nothing Means Everything, accompanied by three singles. After a worldwide tour, the band began work on their second album, which was released in October 2011. They broke up in January 2012, before re-forming for two performances in 2017. The Dykeenies released their EP 'I Wanted To Show Her All The Beautiful Things in the World' on 11 May 2018. The title of the 2018 EP was taken from Bret Ellis-Easton's 'American Psycho'.
The Twang are an English indie rock band, formed in 2004 in Birmingham. The band have released five studio albums - Love It When I Feel Like This (2007), Jewellery Quarter (2009), 10:20 (2012), Neon Twang (2014), If Confronted Just Go Mad (2019) and a B-sides compilation, Subscription (2017). Consisting of vocalist and guitarist Phil Etheridge, bassist Jon Watkin, guitarist Stu Hartland, drummer Ash Sheehan, and new backing singers Cat Mctigue and Rio Hellyer, the band garnered national acclaim when NME magazine produced an article on music acts in the West Midlands. The band's original line-up consisted of Etheridge and Saunders, Watkin, Hartland & Matty Clinton on drums.
Fastlane were an English rock band, that emerged from the Surrey rock scene in 1997.
Casino is a rock/alternative band consisting of Adam Zindani (vocals/guitar), Sam Yapp (drums), Jo Crofts (guitar) and Jimi Crutchley. The band was originally formed as Casino in 2003 and changed its name to SpiderSimpson after signing to Polydor in 2006, before reverting to the original name in late 2008 to release its first album The Spider Simpson Incident. The band has a strong and loyal cult following in its home city of Birmingham, England. The band was inactive after the departure of Deavall, who has formed a new band, and with Zindani being more involved with the Stereophonics with little time left to work with Casino. Currently the band are back in business, they've signed a record deal and recently released an album on Spotify.
Live is the second live album by English hard rock band Thunder, and the first released outside of Japan. Recorded over four shows in November 1997 at Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton and Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, it was produced by the band's lead guitarist Luke Morley and engineered and mixed by Mike Fraser. The album was released by Eagle Rock Entertainment on 16 February 1998. An accompanying video was released by Eagle Vision on 28 March 1998.

Courteeners are an English band formed in Middleton in 2006 by Liam Fray, Michael Campbell, Daniel "Conan" Moores and Mark Cuppello (bass); the latter was replaced by the band's producer Joe Cross in 2015. They previously toured with pianist Adam Payne, who has been featured on every album, but in 2019 was replaced with Elina Lin. In December 2012, the band dropped "The" from their name, continuing simply as "Courteeners".

"Falling out of Reach" is a song by Guillemots that appears on the band's second album, Red. It was released as the second single from their second album on 26 May 2008. It has reached #49 on the UK Singles Chart. The B-side, 'Trick Of The Light' was originally recorded for Q (magazine). The band were given the song title 'Seabirds' and 24 hours to write and record the track.
Weekender Records was an Artist Management Company and an independent record label, based in London, England, it also had a sister company based in Berlin Germany. The company closed in March 2010.

Liberty Lies are an English hard rock band formed in Wednesbury, West Midlands, England, in June 2008. The core and founding members of the band are Shaun Richards, Josh Pritchett (guitar) and Adam Stevens (drums). There have been a number of other members over the years, most notably Liam 'Bill' Billings. Liberty Lies have released two studio albums and three EPs.
