The New Transit Direction (TNTD) was an indie rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah, formed in 1999.
The group released an EP called New Transit Direction in 2002, which was produced by J. Robbins. [2] Following this the band played Warped Tour 2003 and signed a record deal with Some Records. The frequently played Kilby Court, an all-ages venue in Salt Lake City. [1] Their first album, Wonderful Defense Mechanisms, was produced and mixed by John Congleton [3] and was released in 2004. [4] This album garnered comparisons to Jawbox, Jawbreaker, Quicksand, and The Hives. [5] [6] The band performed as an opening act with The Used, Taking Back Sunday, and The Blood Brothers. [7] [6]
After breaking up in 2006, members of the band formed Still Breaking Hearts, which released an EP in 2007. [8] The drummer, Dan Whitesides, has replaced Brandon Steineckert as the new drummer in The Used. Guitar player and singer Josh Asher, went on to start Epic Electric, an electrical contracting company based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
In 2016, the band reunited to play Crucialfest in 2016. [1]
The Distillers are an American punk rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1998 by vocalist and guitarist Brody Dalle. Dalle co-wrote, played guitar and provided lead vocals for nearly every track on the band's three albums. After the breakup of the band in 2006, Dalle and Distillers guitarist Tony Bevilacqua went on to form Spinnerette.
Hella is an American math rock band from Sacramento, California. The primary members of the band are Spencer Seim on electric guitar and Zach Hill on drums. The band expanded their live band by adding Dan Elkan on vocals, rhythm guitar, sampler and synthesizer and Jonathan Hischke on synth bass guitar for their 2005 tour. In 2006 they reformed as a five-piece line-up including Seim, Hill, Carson McWhirter, Aaron Ross & Josh Hill. In 2009, the band was reduced back to core members Hill and Seim.
Matchbook Romance was an American emo band from Poughkeepsie, New York and was formed in 1997. They were signed to Epitaph Records. They released two full-length albums and one EP. Their EP, West for Wishing, released in 2003 was their first recorded album during their time on Epitaph; their full-length debut album, Stories and Alibis, was recorded in the same year.
Dogwood is a punk rock band from Escondido, California founded in 1993. Their music has been compared to that of The Offspring, and they list Bad Religion, NOFX and Lagwagon as musical influences.

Destroyer is a Canadian indie rock band from Vancouver, formed in 1995. Cult Leader is an American hardcore punk band that formed in 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was founded by three members of Gaza following the band's break-up. Cult Leader signed to Jacob Bannon's record label Deathwish Inc. and have released two studio albums, Lightless Walk (2015) and A Patient Man (2018), as well two EPs through the label, showcasing a brutal sound with prominent elements of extreme metal.
Society's Finest is an American metalcore band from Dallas, Texas. Their first full-length album, The Journey...So Far, was released on Solid State Records in May 2000. Due to member changes and personal matters the band took a break from touring and recording to focus on their personal lives. During this hiatus, vocalist Josh Ashworth toured with the metalcore band Zao.
