Established in 2003 the Poetry Society of America's Chapbook Fellowship is an annual program that supports emerging poets who have not yet published a first book. The program provides editorial and design support, publication, distribution, and a public reading. Since its inception, the fellowship has published work by more than eighty poets, many of whom have gone on to receive major literary awards and academic appointments.
