The Promise Hero is a rock band from Cleveland, Ohio.
The Promise Hero was established in 2006 by longtime friends and collaborators Bobby Vaughn and Daniel Weiss [2] after the breakup of The Honor Role in 2005, which included vocalist Justin Vaughn, Bobby's brother. The original line-up included Vocalist Bobby Vaughn, guitarist Daniel Weiss, bassist Kevin Buchanan, and drummer Dan Evans. [3] With this roster, the group released its debut EP, The Promise Hero, in 2006. [4] Not long after the release of the group's EP, The Promise Hero underwent a change in its rhythm section by replacing bassist Kevin Buchanan and drummer Dan Evans with Jeff DiLorenzo and Frank Fini, respectively. [5] Members of the band claim they settled upon the name The Promise Hero after it was donated to them by a friend of the group. [2]
In 2007, The Promise Hero recorded demos produced by Saves the Day front-man Chris Conley, [6] and shortly after signed with Chicago-based independent label, TDR Records, [1] who re-released the band's debut EP. [7] The following summer, The Promise Hero went to Tempe, Arizona to record their debut full-length album, Wait For The Sun, with producer Jamie Woolford. [5] Released on 28 October 2008, Wait For The Sun was met with generally positive reviews. [8] [9] In support of Wait For The Sun, The Promise Hero spent the summer of 2009 selling the album to the lines of concertgoers waiting to get into each stop of the Vans Warped Tour. [10] Tours of the Midwest and East Coast followed in the fall of 2009 and into the spring of 2010. [11] [12] [13] Three of the four members left the band for personal reasons, but Bobby has continued on his own. He has been joined on tour by Joe Lowrie (drums), Ryan Grimes(bass), Evan Stone(guitar), Aaron Foreman(bass), and former TPH band member, Jeff DiLorenzo(guitar/bass). Bobby still uses the name The Promise Hero to write and release music. In 2013, Vaughn released Déjà Vu, once again enlisting the help of producer Jamie Woolford. As of early 2015, Vaughn has announced that he is writing and plans to release a new album, though no tentative date has been announced.

New Found Glory is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of Jordan Pundik, Ian Grushka, Chad Gilbert, and Cyrus Bolooki (drums). Longtime rhythm guitarist and lyricist Steve Klein left the band in late 2013. Yellowcard was an American rock band that formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997 and was based in Los Angeles beginning in 2000. The band is well known for its singles "Ocean Avenue", "Only One", and "Lights and Sounds". The group's music is distinctive within its genre because it features the prominent use of a violin. The band released ten studio albums, with its most recent and final one, Yellowcard, released on September 30, 2016. The band played its final show on March 25, 2017, at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California.

Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and read the stories of as children. They have released a total of ten studio albums, four EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. Their lineup had remained unchanged for eleven years since December 2001, consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In September 2012, the band had announced that Neil Boshart had been fired and would be replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who also joined Billy Hamilton on backing vocals. The band achieved moderate success with their second studio album, Discovering the Waterfront, which was nominated for a Juno Award and reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200 charts, with the following two albums charting at similar positions. Silverstein has sold over 1,000,000 albums worldwide.
Protest the Hero is a Canadian progressive metal band from Whitby, Ontario. Originally named Happy Go Lucky, the band changed their name to Protest the Hero, then released their debut EP, Search for the Truth, in 2002. In 2005, the band released their first album Kezia on Canadian indie label Underground Operations.

The group was founded by Shawn Milke, Dennis Lee and Patrick Thompson during the fall of 2004, and is currently signed to Revival Recordings and Artery Recordings. Alesana has collectively released three EPs and five full-length studio albums. The band gained a wide audience after their debut, On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax was released, featuring a musical style shifting between light and heavy sounds along with a wide influence ranging from pop punk, metal and even classic rock bands such as the Beatles. Their audience grew heavily after the release of their third album, The Emptiness, which released in early-2010. Their band name is derived from street named Aliceanna Street, which was the street that vocalist/rhythm guitarist Shawn Milke and lead guitarist Patrick Thompson grew up on, in Baltimore.
The Cab is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Their debut album, Whisper War, was released on April 29, 2008. They have been called "The Band You Need to Know 2008" by Alternative Press magazine. They were also featured in the '100 Bands You Need to Know in 2010' by the magazine and were one of the three bands featured on the cover page, along with Never Shout Never and Hey Monday. Their second album Symphony Soldier was released on August 23, 2011, with its first single "Bad" released to iTunes July 11, 2011, and announced by the band on July 18. The Cab funded the entire album by themselves and left their Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance label, self-releasing Symphony Soldier. AbsolutePunk gave an extremely positive review with a rating of 95%, calling the album a "masterpiece". The pre-orders in the band's webstore featured eleven packages, ranging from $10 to $9,999. Symphony Soldier is digitally available on iTunes, and only available as physical CDs from the band's webstore. The band's latest work, an EP titled Lock Me Up, was released on April 29, 2014. They have not released any new material since 2014, leaving the future of the band uncertain.

They have released six full-length albums, two EPs, and several splits/compilations. The group is currently signed to Hopeless Records. Their name originates from a paper that lead vocalist, Dan 'Soupy' Campbell, read that was written by one of his after-school educators titled "The Wonder Years."

Taking influence from such pop punk acts as Blink-182, Saves the Day, and Taking Back Sunday, Man Overboard played a brand of upbeat and poppy pop punk with the emotion of 90s emo acts such as The Promise Ring. The band was signed to Rise Records. They are well known for their motto within the pop punk scene to "Defend Pop Punk". On January 28, 2016 they announced a hiatus on their official website; the hiatus ended on August 2, 2018 when the band announced a 10-year anniversary tour.
