Il pentito (internationally released as The Repenter and The Squealer) is a 1985 Italian crime-drama film directed by Pasquale Squitieri. [2] The film is loosely based on actual events involving, among others, pentito Tommaso Buscetta, judge Giovanni Falcone and banker Michele Sindona. [3]

Margheriti worked in many different genres in the Italian film industry, and was known for his sometimes derivative but often stylish and entertaining science fiction, sword and sandal, horror/giallo, Eurospy, Spaghetti Western, Vietnam War and action movies that were released to a wide international audience.
