The Shitheads is an upcoming comedy film that is being written, produced, and directed by Macon Blair. The film will star Dave Franco (who also produces the film), O'Shea Jackson Jr., Mason Thames, and Peter Dinklage. It is set to premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Two people that have hit rock bottom are forced to work together to transport a rich troubled teen to rehab for a shady transport service.
In 2017, it was announced that Macon Blair was writing and directing an original film with Luke Wilson and Tracy Morgan set to star. [1] By May 2018, Morgan dropped out and Ron Funches took his place. [2]
In February 2025, it was announced that Dave Franco, O'Shea Jackson Jr., and Peter Dinklage had joined the cast, with Wilson and Funches dropping out. [3] In July of that year, Mason Thames joined the cast. [4]
The Shitheads is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, which will be held from January 22 to February 1, 2026. [5]
