The Street is an American police drama that aired in syndication five nights a week in 1988. [1] A total of 65 thirty-minute episodes were produced.
Filmed on location in Newark, New Jersey and other northern New Jersey cities, The Street was filmed mostly at night with handheld cameras [2] which gave it a documentary look. The series followed two sets of patrolmen, Officers Bud Peluso and Arthur Scolari, who used patrol car 260 on the 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm shift, and Officers Jack Runyon and Sheppard Scott, who used the same car from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Stories centered on the officers lives on and off-duty.
The Street used frank language and had gritty, adult subject matter. As a result, the program had an on-screen warning and was run after 11:00 pm on most stations.

Bosom Buddies is an American television sitcom starring Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari created by Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Chris Thompson. It aired on Thursday nights for two seasons on ABC from November 27, 1980, to March 27, 1982, and in reruns in the summer of 1984 on NBC. The show features the misadventures of two single men, working in creative advertising, struggling in their industry while disguising themselves as women in order to live in the one apartment they could afford. Gender stereotypes and male/female interpersonal relationships were frequent themes.
Peter Thomas Scolari was an American actor. He was best known for his roles as Henry Desmond in the ABC sitcom Bosom Buddies (1980–1982) and Michael Harris on the CBS sitcom Newhart (1984–1990) the later of which earned him three consecutive nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series from 1987 to 1989.
Charles in Charge is an American sitcom television series that premiered on October 3, 1984, on CBS. The series was a production of Al Burton Productions and Scholastic Productions in association with Universal Television and starred Scott Baio, who had previously starred in Happy Days, in the title role. Willie Aames, who had previously been a cast member on Eight Is Enough, also starred as Charles’ best friend Buddy Lembeck.

Fort Runyon was a timber and earthwork fort constructed by the Union Army following the occupation of northern Virginia in the American Civil War in order to defend the southern approaches to the Long Bridge as part of the defenses of Washington, D.C. during that war. The Columbia Turnpike and Alexandria and Loudon Railroad ran through the pentagonal structure, which controlled access to Washington via the Long Bridge. With a perimeter of almost 1,500 yards (1,400 m), and due to its unusual shape it was approximately the same size, shape, and in almost the same location as the Pentagon, built 80 years later.
