The Sunshine Underground is the third studio album by British indie band The Sunshine Underground, whose self-titled album marked a shift in genre from indie-rock in their previous two albums to a more electronic sound reminiscent of 80s synthpop. [1]

The Sunshine Underground

The Sunshine Underground were an English alternative dance band based in Leeds, England. Their style developed from indie, alternative to electronic music, and they released four full-length albums; Raise the Alarm (2006), Nobody's Coming to Save You (2010), The Sunshine Underground (2014) and their farewell album, Luminescent (2016). The group, named after a song from the 1999 album Surrender by The Chemical Brothers, were often associated with the British nu-rave scene of 2006 and built a respectable live following after years of touring.

Raise the Alarm is the debut album by British indie band The Sunshine Underground, released 28 August 2006. NME described the album as the "first great album of the new rave movement" which included the Klaxons and Shitdisco.

Luminescent is the fourth and final studio album by British indie and electronic band The Sunshine Underground released 30 September 2016.
