The Tabernacle is a centre for the performing arts in Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. It is located in a former Wesleyan chapel, which was converted in the mid-1980s and opened in 1986. Since then the Museum of Modern Art has grown up alongside it, with six exhibition spaces.
The Tabernacle' Auditorium seats 350 people and regularly hosts chamber and choral music, drama, lectures and conferences. It also has translation booths, a grand piano, recording facilities and a cinema screen. There is a bar in the foyer. There are music teaching rooms and an art studio in Ty Llyfnant. The Green Room doubles as a Language Laboratory where Lifelong learning classes are held.
The Machynlleth Festival takes place in the Auditorium in late August every year.
Since acquiring accreditation from the Museums, Archives and Libraries Division of the Welsh Government in 2016, the Trust owning the Tabernacle is now known as "MOMA Machynlleth".

Clive Hicks-Jenkins is a Welsh artist known especially for narrative paintings and artist's books. A retrospective exhibition comprising some 200 works from across the artist's career loaned from public and private collections was held by the National Library of Wales in 2011 to coincide with his sixtieth birthday. Trevor Fishlock is a British reporter, author and broadcaster. He has worked as a foreign correspondent for The Times and The Daily Telegraph, reporting from more than 70 countries, and has written and broadcast programmes for television and radio. He has published several books with major publishing houses, including several on Wales. Fishlock was born in Hereford, and lives in Cardiff. He has broadcast from the National Library of Wales and gave the Machynlleth Festival's Hallstatt Lecture in 1999.

Annie Morgan Suganami is an artist and musician who trained at the Royal Academy of Music and Cardiff School of Art & Design and now lives and works in Machynlleth, Wales.
Cherryl Angela Fountain is an English still life, landscape and botanical artist. As the daughter of a gamekeeper and a resident of rural east Kent, much of her work reflects an environment of farming, botanical gardens and country life. Her work has been accepted for exhibition at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition on twenty-eight occasions, and she has received bursaries and numerous awards in honour of her work.
