No wave was an avant-garde music genre and visual art scene which emerged in the late 1970s in Downtown New York City. The term was a pun based on the rejection of commercial new wave music. Reacting against punk rock's recycling of rock and roll clichés, no wave musicians instead experimented with noise, dissonance, and atonality, as well as non-rock genres like free jazz, funk, and disco. The scene often reflected an abrasive, confrontational, and nihilistic world view.
Ultimate Spinach was a short-lived American psychedelic rock band from Boston, Massachusetts which was formed in 1967. In terms of style and national recognition, the band was one of the most prominent musical acts to emerge from the "Bosstown Sound", which was a marketing campaign posing as a regional attempt to compete with the San Francisco Sound. During the group's existence, they released three albums, with their self-titled debut the most commercially successful.
Alisha Sufit was the English singer-songwriter with the 1970s Magic Carpet, whose eponymous first album was released on the UK Mushroom label in 1972. The Mushroom label is not to be confused with the Australian label of the same name, and was led by Vic Keary from the late 1960s from Chalk Farm Studios in Belmont Street, London.
Analogy was a German and Italian psychedelic rock, progressive rock band, active in the 1970s. The band was launched by the guitarist Martin Thurn when attending the European School, Varese. In 1968, Thurn founded a band called Sons of Glove. Other members were Wolfgang Schoene, Thomas Schmidt and Jutta Nienhaus. The band later renamed itself to Joice in 1970 with drummer Hermann-Jürgen Nienhaus and Mauro Rattaggi (bass), the only Italian member of the band. During a music festival in Arona, a spontaneous collaboration happened with keyboarder Nikola Pankoff whilst playing a free interpretation of Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother". Pankoff became a band member thereafter. Finally, in 1972, after becoming a more centered progressive rock band, they decided to change their name to Analogy. Their first release was the single "Sold Out" / "God's Own Land", two songs written by Thurn. At the end of the year, Rattaggi had to join the army and left the band. Schoene changed to the bass guitar.
Kirikyogen is a 1970 album by Japanese musician Kuni Kawachi, credited to "Kuni Kawachi & His Friends", though it is usually credited to "Kuni Kawachi & Flower Travellin' Band" on bootlegs. The album showcases Kuni Kawachi's progressive rock influences, as well as the growing heavy metal sound that the Flower Travellin' Band were honing.
Pre Viam is the third studio album by the Italian rock band Jacula, released in 2011 nearly four decades after previous work. In the interim, the band's leader, Antonio Bartoccetti, had formed a new band, Antonius Rex. When Bartoccetti brought Jacula back to the recording studio, the original organist, Charles Tiring, had been dead since 1979. Original keyboardist Doris Norton was replaced with Bartoccetti's son, Rexanthony.

Atomic Forest was a popular Indian psychedelic and hard rock band from Mumbai, active in the early-1970s, formed by Neel Chattopadhyaya, with Keith Kanga, Valentine Lobo and Madhukar C. Dhas. The band's lineup changed over the years, as members left and others took their place. It was thought that they had recorded a single album, Obsession '77 However, since 2011, two LPs have been reissued by Now-Again Records, Obsession, and Disco Roar.

It was founded by Klemen Breznikar in October 2010, and was originally based in Ljubljana; it is currently headquartered in Prebold. The webzine has covered an extensive range of music over the years, from electronic to heavy metal, but generally focuses on psychedelic rock, psychedelic folk, progressive rock, progressive metal, krautrock, art rock, garage rock and space rock.

It was initially released on CD by their own label Antenna Records in 2005, later reissued by Weisskalt Records on vinyl in 2022 on a limited edition of 300. To commemorate its 20th anniversary on the basis of when recording began, the album was manufactured by longstanding Australian pressing plant Zenith on translucent red vinyl at 45rpm to draw out the subtleties and expansiveness of the sound.
