Manhwa is the general Korean term for comics and print cartoons. Outside Korea, the term usually refers to Korean comics. Manhwa is directly influenced by Japanese Manga comics. Modern Manhwa has extended its reach to many other countries. These comics have branched outside of Korea by access to Webtoons and have created an impact that has resulted in some movie, drama and television show adaptations.

Something in the Rain is a 2018 South Korean television series directed by Ahn Pan-seok and written by Kim Eun. It stars Son Ye-jin and Jung Hae-in. The series marks Son Ye-jin's small screen comeback after a five-year break. It aired on JTBC from March 30 to May 19, 2018, every Friday and Saturday at 23:00 (KST).
Lezhin Comics is a webtoon portal that was founded by South Korean blogger Han Hee-sung in 2013. It is based in South Korea and its services are offered in Korean, Japanese and English.
Studio N is a subsidiary of Webtoon Entertainment Inc. launched in August 2018 that produces drama films and television series based on stories from their Korean library of webtoons and web novels. The subsidiary is headed by Kwon Mi-kyung, who was a former head of the film business division of CJ ENM. Kwon describes the studio as a "IP bridge company that collaborates with existing film and drama production companies".
Dinner Mate is a 2020 South Korean television series starring Song Seung-heon, Seo Ji-hye, Lee Ji-hoon, and Son Na-eun, and based on the 2013 webtoon Would You Like To Have Dinner Together? by Park Si-in. The series is about an unexpected dinner between two strangers in a restaurant, Woo Do-hee and Kim Hae-kyung. The two happen to have dinner together at a random place and decide to become dinner partners. The drama was aired by MBC TV on Mondays and Tuesdays from May 25 to July 14, 2020. It was also available globally on iQIYI with multi-language subtitles.
D.P. is a South Korean military action television series for Netflix. Directed by Han Jun-hee, from a screenplay by Kim Bo-tong and Han, based on the Lezhin webtoon D.P Dog's Day by Kim, and starring Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyun, and Son Suk-ku. The first season was released on August 27, 2021, and the second season was released on July 28, 2023.
Business Proposal (Korean: 사내맞선) is a South Korean romantic comedy television series based on the webtoon of the same title written by HaeHwa and illustrated by Narak. Directed by Park Seon-ho and written by Han Seol-hee and Hong Bo-hee, it stars Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Se-jeong, Kim Min-kyu, and Seol In-ah. It tells the story of Shin Ha-ri, an employee who accepts to go on a blind date in place of her friend, but finds out that her date is actually her boss. The series aired for 12 episodes on SBS TV every Monday and Tuesday at 22:00 (KST) from February 28 to April 5, 2022. It is also available for streaming on Netflix in selected regions.

Let's Play was published digitally on Webtoon from 2016 to 2022. It follows the romantic and professional life of Sam Young, who is discovering romance as she works on her video game development career.

See You in My 19th Life is a 2023 South Korean television series starring Shin Hye-sun, Ahn Bo-hyun, Ha Yoon-kyung, and Ahn Dong-goo. It is based on a webtoon of the same name by writer Lee Hey, which was published on Naver Webtoon. It aired on tvN from June 17 to July 23, 2023, every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST). It is also available for streaming on TVING and Netflix in selected regions.
PULSE is a drama romance webtoon created by Thai artist Ratana Satis. The series follows the relationship between a renowned heart surgeon, Mel, and Lynn, a cardiac patient who refuses to get a heart transplant. It began publishing weekly on Lezhin Comics between May 2016 and November 2017 after winning Lezhin Comics' second World Comic Contest.
What Does the Fox Say? is a Korean girls' love manhwa series written by Gyeomji and illustrated by Gaji under the collective Team Gaji. The series follows Sungji as she joins a mobile game developer, Hello Studio, and begins a relationship with her team manager Sumin. The manhwa was serialized online via Lezhin Comics from April 2015 to December 2019 after winning Lezhin Comics first World Comic Contest. It was collected into six print volumes by Polar Fox on December 20, 2021.
