The Transition is the second studio album by Muslim Belal, released on 23 October 2010 by Halal Dawa Records.

Release

The Transition was released by Halal Dawa Records on 23 October 2010 [1] [2] [3] [4] at the Global Peace and Unity Event in the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London. [5]

Belal's poetry combines spiritualism with social issues and his own personal history. The album features themes of his conversion to Islam, his personal background, life experience, problems of the Muslim community, encouraging good deeds and preparations for the hereafter. [6]

Islam Channel is a UK-based, free-to-air, English language, Islamic-focused satellite television channel funded by advertising and donations. It was founded in 2004 by Mohamed Ali Harrath, a Tunisian activist and businessman who is also its chief executive officer. It was reported in 2008 that UK government research found that 59% of British Muslims watched the channel. It broadcasts across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is streamed live on the internet and is soon to commence broadcasting in North America. Islam Channel began broadcasting in March 2004 on Sky Digital channel 836, but subsequently moved to channel 813, then 806, now 737. In April 2010, it launched on Freesat channel 693.

The Global Peace and Unity is a recurring two-day event/festival and conference held at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in Royal Victoria Dock, London, England and organized by the Islam Channel. It is the largest Muslim, interfaith and multicultural event of its kind in Europe. There have been six conferences since its inception. The first was on 4 December 2005, with others in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2013. The 2006 event attracted over 55,000 visitors from five continents. The conference includes an Islamic exhibition, an evening nasheed concert, as well as a series of talks, workshops, seminars and lectures from international speakers over two days.
