[3] [4] The Twelve Tribes of Hattie revolves around the matriarch of a black family of the Great Migration and her children and grandchildren.
In the March/April 2013 issue of Bookmarks , reporting on reviews from several publications out of five: Boston Globe , Columbus Dispatch , New York Times , Washington Post , and USA Today gave it a four and Los Angeles Times gave it a two.
