The Unknown is the sixth studio album by German gothic metal band The Vision Bleak, released on 3 June 2016 through Prophecy Productions. [1] The album was announced by the band on their official Facebook page on 31 October 2015, [2] and a teaser EP containing two tracks that eventually appeared in it, entitled The Kindred of the Sunset , came out on 25 March 2016. A deluxe two-CD box set, containing two bonus tracks, was also released.
The album's cover was provided by Dan Seagrave and was unveiled on 20 March 2016. [3]
The album's track list was unveiled on 24 March 2016. "The Whine of the Cemetery Hound" and "The Kindred of the Sunset" originally appeared on the teaser EP The Kindred of the Sunset ; a lyric video for the latter was uploaded to Prophecy's official YouTube channel on 24 March. [4] On 31 May 2016, "From Wolf to Peacock" was released online (via Prophecy's YouTube channel). [5] A music video for "Into the Unknown" was released on 14 June 2016. [6]

Green Carnation is a Norwegian progressive metal band from Kristiansand, formed in 1990. Green Carnation's trend of music has continuously changed on every release one by one; from straight forward death metal in their demo, to death-doom, then a progressive doom metal sound, to an atmospheric gothic metal sound, to a melancholic hard rock sound and in 2006, went as far as to releasing an entirely acoustic album Acoustic Verses. The band released its first album in 14 years titled Leaves of Yesteryear on May 8, 2020, which marked a return to their earlier gothic progressive metal roots. A new single was composed, arranged, rehearsed and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, called "The World Without a View", and released digitally on December 18th 2020.

"Paradise " is a studio EP by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation from their sixth studio album Hydra. It was released on 27 September 2013 with three songs from the upcoming album in their demo versions and also accompanying a music video. The song features former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen. Beside its digital release, the EP was also released as a physical CD in Japan. A new mix of the song was later released in Turunen's album The Brightest Void.
