The Vermin is a punk rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The band formed in 1984 (1986 in some sources [2] ) as Vermin From Venus by singer and guitarist Dirk Vermin, [1] and was noted for releasing one of the first independent punk rock albums in Las Vegas, Sex on Planet X. [3] [4] In 1994, Vermin and bassist Rob Ruckus formed a punk cover band called Godboy, and in 1995 the bands merged, adopting the name The Vermin. [5] [6] The band recorded their first album under their new name, Hell or Las Vegas, in 1996 with drummer Anthony Hudak, but Hudak left the band soon after and was immediately replaced with current drummer Gerry "Turbo" Proctor. [5] [7] The band was featured in the low-budget horror film Trans-American Killer in 2005. [8] Singer Dirk Vermin opened Pussykat Tattoo in 1999; the shop, Vermin, and bassist Ruckus are currently featured in the A&E program Bad Ink . [9] [10]

Funeral Dress is a street punk band from Belgium who formed in 1985. Their big hits include "I'm in Love with Oi", "Free Beer for the Punx", "Party Political Bullshit", "Party On", "Freedom and Liberty", "Belgium's Burning", "Come On Follow" and "Death & Glory". The Clydesdale was an indie band from Las Vegas, Nevada who grew prominent in the independent Las Vegas alt country and cowpunk community. Their sound is described by Rolling Stone as "bluegrass rock" fit for "the soundtrack to a western directed by Quentin Tarantino." Their members, who perform dressed in western wear, include Paige Overton and her trademark "ever-evolving beehive" hairdo, Andrew Karasa, a carpenter who builds his own instruments and once cut his middle finger off with a table saw a mere week before performing with the band, Jason Aragon, who co-created Las Vegas' Neon Reverb Music Festival (bass), and Courtney Carroll, who has played in several Las Vegas bands including Venus Diablo and Kid Meets Cougar (drums).

Bad Ink is an American reality television series that premiered on August 11, 2013, on A&E. The series follows tattoo artist and musician Dirk Vermin, owner of Pussykat Tattoo off the Las Vegas Strip, and his friend and bandmate Rob Ruckus as they seek out bad tattoos and, for some, transform them with skilled cover-up work. Season 2 premiered on January 20, 2014.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rux</span>

Rux is an influential street punk band from South Korea. They formed in 1996 and released their first recording in 1999. Lead vocalist Won Jong-hee, the only remaining original member, also ran Skunk Label and owned the punk music venue Skunk Hell. They gained notoriety in 2005 when friends of the band undressed on stage during the live nationwide broadcast of an episode of MBC concert show Music Camp.
