The Yearling [1] ,also known in English as Fortunate Fawn,is a Japanese anime series from 1983. The series is based on Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings's 1938 novel of the same name. It has been produced in association with MGM/UA Entertainment Co. Television Distribution. Turner Entertainment Co. hold the rights to the series since 1986.
Despite the similar art style,this anime is unrelated to the World Masterpiece Theater series and is also based on the 1946 film by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
The anime was not particularly successful during its original airing,and has faded into obscurity throughout the years. In Japan,it has never had any re-airings since the 1990s,nor has it ever been released on DVD or home video. The series has been released on DVD in the Netherlands,except for episode 33,whose Dutch dub masters were in bad condition,and episode 51,which was skipped in the dub.
Fruits Basket,sometimes abbreviated Furuba or Fruba (フルバ),is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya. It was serialized in the semi-monthly Japanese shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume,published by Hakusensha,from 1998 to 2006. The series' title comes from the name of a popular game played in Japanese elementary schools,which is alluded to in the series.

Wolf's Rain is a Japanese anime television series created by writer Keiko Nobumoto and produced by Bones. It was directed by Tensai Okamura and featured character designs by Toshihiro Kawamoto with a soundtrack produced and arranged by Yoko Kanno. It focuses on the journey of four lone wolves who cross paths while following the scent of the Lunar Flower and seeking Paradise.
Escaflowne is a 2000 Japanese animated adventure dark fantasy film produced by Sunrise and animated by studio Bones. Directed by Kazuki Akane,the film is a re-telling of the 26-episode anime television series The Vision of Escaflowne. The film was licensed for Region 1 release by Bandai Entertainment,which gave the film a theatrical release in January 2002.
Robotech is an American 85-episode adaptation of three unrelated Japanese anime television series made between 1982 and 1984 in Japan;the adaptation was aired in 1985. Within the combined and edited story,Robotechnology refers to the scientific advances discovered in an alien starship that crashed on a South Pacific island. With this technology,Earth developed giant robotic machines or mecha to fight three successive extraterrestrial invasions.
Gurren Lagann,known in Japan as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann,is a Japanese mecha anime television series animated by Gainax and co-produced by Aniplex and Konami. It ran for 27 episodes on TV Tokyo between April and September 2007. It was directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by veteran playwright Kazuki Nakashima. Gurren Lagann takes place in a fictional future where Earth is ruled by the Spiral King,Lordgenome,who forces mankind to live in isolated subterranean villages. The plot focuses on two teenagers,Simon and Kamina,who live in a subterranean village and wish to go to the surface. Using a mecha known as Lagann,Simon and Kamina reach the surface and start fighting alongside other humans against Lordgenome's forces,before fighting the forces of their true enemy.
Haruhi Suzumiya is a Japanese light novel series written by Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrated by Noizi Ito. It was first published in 2003 by Kadokawa Shoten in Japan with the novel The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,and has since been followed by 11 additional novel volumes,an anime television series adaptation produced by Kyoto Animation,four manga series,an animated film,two original net animation series and several video games.
Dragonaut -The Resonance- is a Japanese anime series directed by Manabu Ono and co-produced by Gonzo and Nihon Ad Systems (NAS). Twenty five episodes of the series were broadcast in Japan on the television network TV Tokyo between October 3,2007,and March 26,2008. An additional OVA episode was produced for the DVD release in 2009. Funimation Entertainment acquired the license to distribute the anime series in North America in 2009 and has subsequently released several DVD collections and also streams the series online.
One Piece is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation that premiered on Fuji TV in October 1999. It is based on Eiichiro Oda's manga series of the same name. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy,a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew of pirates,named the Straw Hat Pirates,Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next Pirate King.
The second season from the anime series Naruto is directed by Hayato Date,and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo. Based on Masashi Kishimoto's manga series,the season follows Naruto Uzumaki succeeding the Chūnin Exams only to discover the invasion of the Leaf Village.
Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Part of the Dragon Ball media franchise,it is the sequel to the 1986 Dragon Ball anime series and adapts the latter 325 chapters of the original Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama. The series aired in Japan on Fuji TV from April 1989 to January 1996 and was later dubbed for broadcast in at least 81 countries worldwide.
Moomin is a Dutch-Japanese-Finnish anime television series produced by Telecable Benelux B.V. and animated by Telescreen Japan. Based on the Moomin novels and comic strips by the Finnish illustrator and author Tove Jansson and her brother Lars Jansson,it was the third anime adaptation of the property and the first to receive distribution in different countries worldwide. Moomin first aired on TV Tokyo from April 12,1990,to October 3,1991. The series had also been dubbed into English and aired on CBBC in United Kingdom during the same year.
