These Hearts is an American post-hardcore band from Fargo, North Dakota. The band started making music in 2007, and they disbanded in late 2013. The band released two full-length studio albums on Victory Records. Forever Ended Yesterday, was released in 2011, Yours to Take, was released in 2013 by the aforementioned label. This album was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard charts. In 2022, the band announced a reunion [1]

Music history

The band commenced as a musical entity in 2007, with their first release, Mistakes and Second Takes, an extended play, that was released on September 16, 2008, independently. [2] [3] They released, Forever Ended Yesterday, a studio album, on June 21, 2011, from Victory Records. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] Their subsequent studio album, Yours to Take, was released by Victory Records, on July 19, 2013. [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] [17] [18] This album was the groups breakthrough release upon the Billboard charts, where it peaked at No. 36 on the Christian Albums chart, while it peaked at No. 33 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. [19]

In 2022, a reunion tour was announced. Among multiple headline dates were shows including I Set My Friends On Fire, Sink In, and Across The White Water Tower. [1]

Busted are an English pop punk band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. Formed in 2000, the band had four UK number-one singles, won two Brit awards, released four studio albums and sold over 5 million records. The band released Busted in 2002 and A Present for Everyone in 2003 before disbanding in January 2005. Following the split, all three members pursued separate musical careers: Simpson as the frontman for the post-hardcore band Fightstar, Bourne as the lead singer of pop punk band Son of Dork and Willis as a solo artist. The band reunited in 2015, embarking on the Pigs Can Fly arena tour in May 2016 and released their third studio album, Night Driver, on 25 November 2016. On 26 October 2018, Busted announced their fourth album Half Way There, released on 1 February 2019, as well as a UK arena tour. At the end of 2019, the band embarked on a hiatus to pursue solo projects. In 2023, Busted announced their return for their 20 year anniversary, consisting of an upcoming album and tour.

Metalcore is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus. Death growls and gang vocals are common. 1990s metalcore bands were inspired by hardcore while later metalcore bands were inspired by melodic death metal bands like At the Gates and In Flames.

Charles Robert Simpson is an English singer, songwriter and musician from Ipswich. He is a member of the rock band Busted and he is also the lead vocalist and the rhythm guitarist in the British post-hardcore band Fightstar. AllMusic has noted that Simpson is "perhaps the only pop star to make the convincing transition from fresh-faced boy bander to authentic hard rock frontman". Simpson is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass, keyboard, piano and drums.

Generally considered a post-hardcore band as a whole, Fightstar are known to incorporate metal, alternative rock and other genres into their sound. During the band's early days, they were viewed sceptically by critics because of Simpson's former pop career with Busted. Their live shows got a more positive reaction, and their 2005 debut EP, They Liked You Better When You Were Dead, was a critical success.

Strongarm was a five-piece Christian and straight edge hardcore band, formed in Pompano Beach, Florida. They were one of the first "Spirit-Filled" hardcore bands, along with Unashamed, Overcome, Focused and Zao.

<i>Murdered Love</i> 2012 studio album by P.O.D.

Murdered Love is the eighth studio album by American Christian metal band P.O.D., released on July 10, 2012. It debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 17 with sales of over 16,000 in its first week in the U.S. Murdered Love is the follow-up to When Angels & Serpents Dance and it sees the band reunited with long-time producer Howard Benson who also produced the band's The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, Satellite and Payable on Death albums. Prior to the album's official release, three songs were made available for download, all were recorded with producer and engineer Blake La Grange; two of which, "Eyez" and a demo version of "On Fire", available for free on the band's website. The album features guest appearances from Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta, Cypress Hill's Sen Dog, and Psycho Realm's Sick Jacken. A deluxe edition of the album, featuring acoustic and bonus tracks, was released on October 22, 2013.
