Thierry Jacob (born 8 March 1965), is a French former professional boxer who competed between 1984 and 1994.

Professional career

Jacob turned professional in 1984 & amassed a record of 26-2 before he unsuccessfully fought Venezuelan boxer José Sanabria, for the IBF super bantamweight world title. [1] Jacob would get another opportunity at a world title nearly four years later, this time facing & defeating Mexican boxer Daniel Zaragoza, to win the WBC world title. Jacob would lose the title in his first defense to American boxer Tracy Harris Patterson. [2]

He and fellow Mexican and world Bantamweight champion Rubén Olivares have the distinction of being the only two professional boxers in history to put together two streaks of 20 or more knockout wins in a row.

José Guadalupe Pintor Guzmán, better known as Lupe Pintor, is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1974 to 1995. He won the WBC bantamweight title in 1979 after defeating Carlos Zárate Serna, and made eight defenses. In 1985, Pintor defeated Juan Meza to win the WBC super bantamweight title, but lost to Samart Payakaroon in his first defense the following year.

Wilfredo Vázquez Olivera is a Puerto Rican former professional boxer who competed from 1981 to 2002. He held world championships in three weight classes, including the WBA bantamweight title from 1987 to 1988, the WBA super bantamweight title from 1992 to 1995, and the WBA and lineal featherweight titles from 1996 to 1998. His son, Wilfredo Vázquez Jr., is also a former boxer and world champion.

Tracy Harris Patterson,, is an American former boxer who became a two weight world champion. Born Tracy Harris in Grady, Alabama, he is the adopted son of former Golden Gloves and world heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson, turned Golden Gloves success into a solid pro career. He won the WBC super bantamweight title with a two-round TKO of Thierry Jacob and defended the title for two years before losing the belt to Hector Acero-Sanchez in 1994. He later won the IBF super featherweight title against Eddie Hopson in 1995. Patterson retired in 2001 with a pro record of 63-8-2.
