Thierry Klemeniuk (born July 13, 1969) is a French film producer and events producer, founder and former manager of the restaurant-club Man-Ray in Paris alongside Johnny Depp, Mick Hucknell, Sean Penn and John Malkovich, [1] [2] as well as artistic director of Man Ray, New York and producer of the Man Ray soundtrack. [3] From 1993 to 1995, he was the Executive Manager of the famous Bains Douches.

Production

Thierry Klemeniuk is known for producing Bully (2001), Spun (2002) and Mary (2005). [4] The 'Star of the Stars', Klemeniuk worked alongside actors including Jack Nicholson, [5] Adrien Brody, [6] Sean Penn, [7] amongst numerous other figures on the movie and music scene. Currently, Thierry lives between Paris and Los Angeles. His company Klemeniuk Inc advises to companies including French AI specialist NamR. [8]

Personal life

In 2005, Klemeniuk married the actress Gabriella Wright. Their wedding was held in Paris and attended by Sean Penn and Mick Hucknell. [9] They divorced in 2011.

The Man Ray bar was a restaurant-bar in Paris, France. It is named after the artist Man Ray. A former cinema, the bar was once part-owned by American actors Johnny Depp, Sean Penn, John Malkovich and British musician Mick Hucknall, and was located at 34 Rue Marbeuf. It was managed by Thierry Klemeniuk. The club has since been renamed "World Place", comprising the Lobster Cafe, The Lounge and The Club. This trendier cousin of the Buddha Bar, with a similar neo-Asian décor, changed its name to Mandalaray in 2005.

Splice is a 2009 science fiction horror film directed by Vincenzo Natali and starring Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, and Delphine Chanéac. The story concerns experiments in genetic engineering being done by a young scientific couple, who attempt to introduce human DNA into their work of splicing animal genes. Guillermo del Toro, Don Murphy, and Joel Silver are the executive producers of this film. Theatrically released on June 4, 2010, the film received generally positive reviews from critics but grossed just $27 million against a $30 million production budget.
