Thirty Mintues to Go is an Australian radio series. [1] It debuted in 1953 and episdes ran for 30 minutes. [2] [3] The gimmick of the show was it played in real time, the last thirty minutes of some catalysmic event. [4] The series was created by Gordon Grimsdale and was very popular, selling overseas. There were 52 episodes under the title Thirty Minutes to Go and 52 episodes under the title Deadline. [5]

Many episodes were written by James Workman, Kay Keavney, Coral Lansbury and Gordon Grimsdale. [5] Working on the series was how James Workman broke into Australian radio. [6]

The Daily Mirror called it "outstanding." [7]
