Modern Talking was a German pop music duo consisting of arranger, songwriter and producer Dieter Bohlen and singer Thomas Anders. They have been referred to as Germany's most successful pop duo, and have had a number of hit singles, reaching the top five in many countries. Their most popular singles are "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "You Can Win If You Want", "Cheri, Cheri Lady", "Brother Louie", "Atlantis Is Calling " and "Geronimo's Cadillac".
Dieter Günter Bohlen is a German songwriter, producer, singer, and television personality. Often referred to as the "Pop-Titan" in the German-speaking press, he first achieved fame as a member of pop duo Modern Talking in the 1980s, and has since produced numerous German and international artists. He is also a judge on casting shows Deutschland sucht den Superstar and Das Supertalent, having been present on all seasons of both shows.

Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Erl's pop rock–influenced debut studio album, Shout It Out (2003), reached the top forty of the German Albums Chart but was significantly less successful than previous DSDS releases.
"Now or Never" is a song by German recording artist Mark Medlock, the winner of the fourth season of the reality television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, broadcast on RTL in 2007. Serving as both his coronation song and debut single, the song was written and produced by DSDS judge Dieter Bohlen. Released in May 2007, it reached the top of the singles charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
"You're My Heart, You're My Soul" is the first single by German duo Modern Talking released off their debut album The 1st Album. The single was released on 29 October 1984 but entered the top 40 in Germany on 21 January and entered the top 10 at no. 9 in Germany on 28 January 1985, almost 3 months after its release date. It took another 5 weeks for the single to reach the top of the German single chart, it spent six weeks at the number one position in Germany and total of 25 weeks within the German Single Chart eventually reaching a gold status for selling well over 250,000 units at home. "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" is considered their best-selling single to date with worldwide sales said to exceed 8 million copies.

She performed at carnivals as a child and began her career in 1992 after being discovered by record producer Eugen Römer. Luca Hänni is a Swiss singer, songwriter, dancer, model and television personality. He rose to fame in 2012 after winning the ninth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the German version of the Idol franchise. He was the first non-German to do so and also the youngest ever winner of the show. Hänni's debut single, "Don't Think About Me", topped the singles charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It was followed by the release of his debut album, My Name Is Luca (2012), which debuted atop the Austrian and Swiss Albums Charts and became a gold-seller in both countries. His second studio album, Living the Dream, released in 2013, became his second consecutive number-one album in Switzerland.

An instant success, it debuted atop the single charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland and sold more than 100,000 copies throughout its chart run.
"Against the Wind" is a song by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler from her 1991 eighth studio album Bitterblue. It was written by Dieter Bohlen, who produced the song with Luis Rodríguez. The song was released by Hansa Records in 1991 as the second single, after the title track of the album. The song is a soft pop ballad with the lyrics depicting Tyler asking a lover not to break her heart.
"Take Me Tonight" is a song by German recording artist Alexander Klaws, the winner of the inaugural season of the television competition Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Written and produced by DSDS judge Dieter Bohlen, it was released as both his coronation song and debut single. Upon its release, it debuted at number-one on the German and Swiss Singles Charts. The song was later included on his debut album, Take Your Chance (2003).

It was released by BMG in association with 19 Recordings and Hansa Records on October 4, 2004 in German-speaking Europe, following her participation in the second season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, which she won. While she was offered to record a full album with DSDS judge and producer Dieter Bohlen, Erl declined in favor of different collaborators, citing his pop sound and lyrical approach. Instead, musician Frabo was consulted to work on the majority of pop rock–driven Shout It Out, along with songwriters Rea Garvey, Guy Chambers, and Erl herself.
"I Still Burn" is a song by German recording artist Tobias Regner, the winner of the third season of the reality television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, broadcast in 2006. It was written by Jess Cates and Peter Wright and produced by Brix Ingo Politz, and Bernd Wendlandt, marking the first time, a DSDS coronation song was not produced by judge Dieter Bohlen. Released as Regner's debut single on March 24, 2006 in German-speaking Europe, it became the biggest-selling single in two years to debut at the charts, where it reached number one in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, making him the first DSDS winner to top the charts in all three regions. "I Still Burn" was eventually certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and became Germany's 13th best-selling single of 2006. It was later included on Regner's debut album Straight (2006).
