"This Is My Life" is a song by German recording artist Elli Erl, the winner of the second season of the reality television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar , broadcast in 2004. Written and produced by DSDS judge Dieter Bohlen, it served as Erl's coronation song. Released on March 22, 2004 in German-speaking Europe, it debuted at number three on the German Singles Chart and peaked at number six in Austria and number 11 in Switzerland. In total, the song sold 100,000 copies and was later included on her debut album, Shout It Out (2004). [1]

Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television.

"You're My Heart, You're My Soul" is the first single by German duo Modern Talking released off their debut album The 1st Album. The single was released on 29 October 1984 but entered the top 40 in Germany on 21 January and entered the top 10 at no. 9 in Germany on 28 January 1985, almost 3 months after its release date. It took another 5 weeks for the single to reach the top of the German single chart, it spent six weeks at the number one position in Germany and total of 25 weeks within the German Single Chart eventually reaching a gold status for selling well over 250,000 units at home. "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" is considered their best-selling single to date with worldwide sales said to exceed 8 million copies.

Luca Hänni is a Swiss singer, songwriter, dancer, model and television personality. He rose to fame in 2012 after winning the ninth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the German version of the Idol franchise. He was the first non-German to do so and also the youngest ever winner of the show. Hänni's debut single, "Don't Think About Me", topped the singles charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It was followed by the release of his debut album, My Name Is Luca (2012), which debuted atop the Austrian and Swiss Albums Charts and became a gold-seller in both countries. His second studio album, Living the Dream, released in 2013, became his second consecutive number-one album in Switzerland.

Shout It Out is the debut studio album by German recording artist Elli Erl. It was released by BMG in association with 19 Recordings and Hansa Records on October 4, 2004 in German-speaking Europe, following her participation in the second season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, which she won. While she was offered to record a full album with DSDS judge and producer Dieter Bohlen, Erl declined in favor of different collaborators, citing his pop sound and lyrical approach. Instead, musician Frabo was consulted to work on the majority of pop rock–driven Shout It Out, along with songwriters Rea Garvey, Guy Chambers, and Erl herself.

"I Still Burn" was eventually certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and became Germany's 13th best-selling single of 2006.
