Albani Bryggerierne A/S is a brewery located in Odense, Denmark, and the vast majority of its customers live on the island of Funen. The brewery was founded by MPharm Theodor Schiøtz in 1859. In 2000, the brewery merged with Bryggerigruppen with the Brewery group, a group of Danish regional breweries.
Pale ale is a typically golden to amber coloured style of ale which is brewed using an ale yeast and predominantly pale malt. The term first appeared around 1703 for beers made from malts dried with high-carbon coke, which resulted in a lighter colour than other beers popular at that time. Different brewing practices and hop quantities have resulted in a range of tastes and strengths within the pale ale family.

The Limfjord is a shallow part of the sea, located in Denmark where it has been regarded as a fjord ever since Viking times. However, it has inlets both from the North Sea and Kattegat, and hence separates the North Jutlandic Island from the rest of the Jutland Peninsula. The Limfjord extends from Thyborøn Channel on the North Sea to Hals on the Kattegat. It is approximately 180 kilometres long and of an irregular shape with numerous bays, narrowings, and islands, most notably Mors, and the smaller ones Fur, Venø, Jegindø, Egholm and Livø. It is deepest at Hvalpsund.

A number of regional breweries, however, managed to survive, and most of them merged into Royal Unibrew in 2005. Thy is a traditional district in northwestern Jutland, Denmark. It is situated north of the Limfjord, facing the North Sea and Skagerrak, and has a population of around 44,000. The capital is Thisted. Snedsted, Hanstholm and Hurup are minor towns in the area.
Tripel is a term used by brewers mainly in the Low Countries, some other European countries, and the U.S. to describe a strong pale ale, loosely in the style of Westmalle Tripel. The origin of the term is unknown, though the main theory is that it indicates strength in some way. It was used in 1956 by the Trappist brewery, Westmalle, to rename the strongest beer in their range, though both the term Tripel and the style of beer associated with the name, were in existence before 1956. The style of Westmalle's Tripel and the name was widely copied by the breweries of Belgium, and in 1987 another Trappist brewery, the Koningshoeven in the Netherlands, expanded their range with a beer called La Trappe Tripel, though they also produced a stronger beer they termed La Trappe Quadrupel. The term spread to the U.S. and other countries, and is applied by a range of secular brewers to a strong pale ale in the style of Westmalle Tripel.
Mikkeller is a microbrewery founded in 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark that was originally based on the so-called "cuckoo", "phantom" or "gypsy" ethos; that is, the company did not operate an official brewery and, instead, collaborated with other brewers to produce their recipes or experimental one-off brews. The company now operates four breweries, Mikkeller Brewing in San Diego, Warpigs, a brewpub in Copenhagen, Mikkeller Brewpub London and Baghaven, a brewery and Blenderia in Copenhagen. Mikkeller was founded by two home brewers: Mikkel Bjergsø, a high school teacher, and journalist Kristian Klarup Keller. Both sought to introduce their home-brewed beer to the public and to "challenge beer friends with intense new tastes", drawing inspiration from the American breweries that "aren't afraid to play and break all the rules".
Amager Bryghus is a Danish microbrewery situated on the island of Amager. It was founded in 2007 by Morten Valentin Lundsbak and Jacob Storm in an old warehouse previously owned by the Church of Scientology. Its first beer to make it into the Ratebeer Top 50 was an Imperial Stout called Hr. Frederiksen. This particular beer was crafted to celebrate a friend of the owners, Peter Frederiksen, who helped them for a whole year in setting up the brewery. Owing to the success of Hr. Frederiksen, they partnered with Shelton Brothers and began exporting to the United States. Since 2009 they have been in the Ratebeer top 100 breweries list.
Bryghuset Møn is a micro-brewery in the town of Stege on the Danish island of Møn. Bryghuset Møn is also a restaurant and café. It opened in 2005 in a historic trading establishment, its master brewer being Svend Austel of Bamberg, Germany. The brewery produces nine different kinds of beer.

Hill Farmstead Brewery was established in 2010 by Shaun Hill in Greensboro Bend, Vermont, United States. It is located in the "Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont, about seventy miles from the state's largest city, Burlington.
Põhjala Brewery is a craft brewery in Tallinn, Estonia. Its name is Estonian for "northern realm". It is the largest craft brewery in the Baltic states and the only one to be included in the Ratebeer "top 100" list of world breweries. In 2019 the company had a turnover of 4.69 million euros. Põhjala has a particular focus on porters, barrel ageing, and ingredients from the forests of Estonia.
Rahbeks Allé Brewery is a former brewery at Rahbeks Allé 3–11 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The brewery was founded in 1860 and merged with several other breweries under the name De Forenede Bryggerier in 1890. It was from 1923 operated under the name Kongens Bryghus and the site was decommissioned when De Forenede Bryggerier was acquired by Carlsberg Group in 1969. The buildings—a group of red brick buildings from 1860-61 by Jens Eckersberg and a tall, round silo from 1857 designed by Tyge Hvass—have now been converted into apartments.
