William Harrison Frist is an American physician,businessman,conservationist and policymaker who served as a United States Senator from Tennessee from 1995 to 2007. A member of the Republican Party,he also served as Senate Majority Leader from 2003 to 2007. Born in Nashville,Tennessee,Frist studied government and health care policy at Princeton University and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Harvard Medical School. He trained as a cardiothoracic transplant surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and Stanford University School of Medicine,and later founded the Vanderbilt Transplant Center. In 1994,he defeated incumbent Democratic Senator Jim Sasser.
Augustus Caesar Dodge was a Democratic delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives from Iowa Territory,a U.S. minister to Spain,and one of the first set of United States senators to represent Iowa after it was admitted to the Union as a state. His father,Henry Dodge,served as a U.S. senator from Wisconsin;the two were the first and so far the only father-son pair to serve concurrently in the Senate,which they did from 1848 to 1855.

She served as the Vice-Chair of the County Board,and Chair of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority. She retired from the county board in January 2019.

Thomas served as a Republican member of the Alaska House of Representatives from the 5th District,comprising scattered rural and semi-rural communities throughout Southeast Alaska and stretching westward to Prince William Sound,from 2005 to 2013. Thomas served in the majority his entire tenure in the House and held multiple chairmanships. Thomas gained a seat on the powerful House Finance Committee during his second term and would eventually co-chair the committee. Following redistricting,Thomas lost reelection in 2012 by 32 votes to 23-year-old Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins,a political newcomer who left Yale University to run.

The 2022 Vermont Senate election took place on November 8,2022,as part of the biennial United States elections. The election coincided with elections for other offices including the U.S. Senate,U.S. House,Governor,and State House. Vermont voters elected all 30 state senators from 16 districts,with each district electing between one and three senators. State senators serve two-year terms in the Vermont Senate. Primary elections were held on August 9,2022. This election will be the first to use new districts adopted by the Vermont General Assembly to allocate for population changes across the state after the 2020 census.
The 221st New Jersey Legislature began on January 9,2024,following the 2023 elections for Assembly and Senate. It will end January 13,2026.
