Thomas K. Lynch is an American municipal administrator and politician who served as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives and as Town Manager of Barnstable,Massachusetts.
Lynch was born on April 30,1946,in Attleboro,Massachusetts. He attended public schools in North Attleboro,Massachusetts,and graduated from Boston College and Syracuse University. [1]
From 1977 to 1985,Lynch was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. [1]
From 1991 to 2007,Lynch was the executive director of the Barnstable Housing Authority. In December 2007 he was named Assistant City Manager. [2]
In September 2011,Lynch became interim City Manager after City Manager John C. Klimm was placed on leave. When Klimm's contract ended that December,Lynch took over as Acting City Manager. [2] On May 17,2012,the Barnstable City Council voted 9 to 3 to offer Lynch a two-year contract to become City Manager. [3]

Hyannis is the largest of the seven villages in the town of Barnstable,Massachusetts,United States. It is the commercial and transportation hub of Cape Cod and was designated an urban area at the 1990 census. Because of this,many refer to Hyannis as the "Capital of the Cape". The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. The Harbor Hawks play their home games at Judy Walden Scarafile Field at McKeon Park. The team is owned and operated by the non-profit Hyannis Athletic Association.

The CapeFlyer is a passenger rail service in Massachusetts between Boston and Cape Cod that began in 2013. It is operated by the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) in collaboration with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The service runs on the weekends,beginning Friday evenings and including holidays,between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.

The 2022 Massachusetts gubernatorial election was held on November 8,2022,to elect the governor of Massachusetts. Republican former state representative Geoff Diehl,Democratic state Attorney General Maura Healey,and Libertarian Kevin Reed sought to succeed incumbent Governor Charlie Baker,who did not seek re-election after two terms. The race was one of six Republican-held governorships up for election in 2022 in a state carried by Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election and the only race in which the incumbent was retiring despite being eligible for re-election.
Massachusetts House of Representatives' 2nd Barnstable district in the United States is one of 160 legislative districts included in the lower house of the Massachusetts General Court. It covers part of Barnstable County. Democrat Kip Diggs of Osterville has represented the district since 2021.
