Three Wishes is the seventh studio album by American R&B singer Miki Howard released under Peak Records. The album peaked at No. 60 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums but failed to chart on the US Billboard 200. The song, "Meant to Be", was produced by singer/actor Darius McCrary of the television sitcom Family Matters , who also sings background vocals on the track.

Contemporary R&B is a music genre that combines elements of rhythm and blues, pop, soul, funk, hip hop and electronic music.

Alicia Michelle "Miki" Howard is an American singer and actress who had a string of Top 10 hit songs in the mid–1980s and early–1990s, including "Baby, Be Mine"(1987), "Come Share My Love" (1986) and "Love Under New Management" (1990). "Ain't Nobody Like You" (1992) and "Ain't Nuthin' in the World" (1989) both peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B Singles chart.

Peak Records is an American record label that was founded by The Rippingtons leader and guitarist Russ Freeman and Andi Howard in 1994. Peak is distributed by eOne Music.

Gordon Anthony Chambers is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who has written songs for more than 75 recording artists including Angie Stone, Yolanda Adams, The Isley Brothers, Brandy, Trey Songz, Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle, Usher, Marc Anthony, Jamie Foxx, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Beyoncé Knowles. His number-1 hits as lyricist include Anita Baker's Grammy-winning hit "I Apologize", Brownstone's Grammy-nominated hit "If You Love Me", Angie Stone's "No More Rain ", the Grammy-nominated theme of 1996's Set It Off "Missing You" and Yolanda Adams "Someone Watching Over Me". He is the winner of eight awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), has four Dove Award nominations, and his songs have been nominated for three Grammy Awards. Anita Baker won a Grammy for "I Apologize", which Chambers wrote. His songs have been performed at the Essence Awards, American Music Awards, the Goodwill Games and the White House. His prestigious appearances, in addition to acclaimed European and Japanese tours,have included the Essence Music Festival, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Apollo Theater, Constitution Hall, B. B King's and the Kennedy Center.

Executive producers on Three Wishes include Russ Freeman of jazz band The Rippingtons and Andi Howard. The album was nominated for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Album at the 2002 Grammy Awards.
