Throw Throw Burrito is a tabletop game created by Matthew Inman, Brian Spence, and Elan Lee, the creators of the previous game Exploding Kittens. Players must throw plush burritos at others and try to hit them to earn points, and win. The game hit its Kickstarter goal of US$10,000 within 16 minutes, and by the time it was finished, 53,643 backers had pledged US$2,559,458.
Gameplay is similar to the card game Spoons. Up to six players sit around a table, and all must simultaneously draw and discard cards, racing to complete three-of-a-kinds. Once someone matches three identical cards, they earn points. Certain cards, called "Burrito Cards", are worth more points and cause a Battle where two or more players must grab one of the two plush burritos and throw them at the other players to try and hit them, causing them to lose points and receive a "burrito bruise" token. Once all of the tokens are divided, the round is over and the payer with the most points receives the "Fear Me Badge". Another round is played, and if the player with the Fear Me Badge wins again, then they win the game. Otherwise, the winners of the two rounds have a Duel to determine the winner, in which the players count down and throw burritos in the style of a Wild West shootout. [1] [3]
The creators' original games were primarily animal-oriented, and the game was originally going to be titled "Blowfish Throwfish", but they shifted away from that idea because according to Lee, they couldn't make a game that "encourages people to throw animals". After that, they "started thinking of inanimate objects that could fit in your hand that would still be cute, but that you could throw". Another working title was "Chuckin' Chimichangas" before they settled on "Throw Throw Burrito". [4]
On March 14, 2023, an expansion pack titled "Block Block Burrito" was launched, introducing new "tortilla shields" which players could use to shield themselves from the burritos, and new cards. [5]
A "sequel" to the game, titled Throw Throw Avocado, was released in 2021. It features similar gameplay, with new battle rules and plush avocados in place of the burritos. The two games can also be combined for play under an expanded ruleset.

Elan Lee is an American game designer, developer, and creator. He has designed games for the Xbox; helped create the world’s first Alternate Reality Games; and with Matthew Inman created the card game Exploding Kittens, whose Kickstarter campaign was the most-backed of its day. He and Inman founded the Exploding Kittens company in 2015.
The Oatmeal is a webcomic and humor website created in 2009 by cartoonist Matthew Inman. It offers original comics, quizzes, and occasional articles. Inman has produced a series of Oatmeal books with content from the webcomic and previously unpublished material, related board games, and other merchandise. The website won the Eisner Award for Best Digital/Webcomic in 2014.
Techno Kitten Adventure (TKA) is a side-scrolling video game developed by 21st Street Games and published by creative design studio Elite Gudz for the iOS App Store, Xbox Live Indie Games market, Android Market and Windows Phone market. In the game, players control a flying kitten that must avoid obstacles and distractions timed to hardcore music. The game was first released on Xbox Live Indie Games on September 6, 2010 by Nick Kinkade (xMonox). The game was originally developed using Microsoft XNA and is no longer available to purchase.
Lords of Waterdeep is a German-style board game designed by Peter Lee and Rodney Thompson and published by Wizards of the Coast in 2012. The game is set in Waterdeep, a fictional city in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. Players take the roles of the masked rulers of Waterdeep, deploying agents and hiring adventurers to complete quests and increase their influence over the city.

Star Realms is a card-based deck-building science-fiction tabletop game, designed by Rob Dougherty and Darwin Kastle and published in 2014 by Wise Wizard Games. The game started out as a Kickstarter campaign in 2013. The goal of Star Realms is to destroy opponents by purchasing cards using "trade" points and using these cards to attack an opponent's "authority" using "combat" points. The game takes place in a distant future where different races compete to gain resources, trade and outmaneuver each other in a race to become ruler of the galaxy.
Secret Hitler is a hidden identity social deduction party game developed by Goat, Wolf, & Cabbage LLC, manufactured by Breaking Games and distributed by Blackbox. The board game was designed by Max Temkin, Mike Boxleiter and Tommy Maranges, with artwork created by Mackenzie Schubert, and first released on August 25, 2016. In Secret Hitler, players assume the roles of liberals and fascists in the Reichstag of the Weimar Republic, with one player becoming Hitler. To win the game, both parties are set to competitively enact liberal and fascist policies respectively, or complete a secondary objective directly related to the Hitler role.

The Quacks of Quedlinburg, also known as Quacksalber, is a board game designed by Wolfgang Warsch and first published by Schmidt Spiele in 2018. After winning the Kennerspiel des Jahres in 2018, an English version of the game was released by North Star Games.

The Last of Us: Escape the Dark is a 2024 tabletop role-playing game published by Themeborne. Based on Naughty Dog's video game The Last of Us, the tabletop game was developed in partnership with Naughty Dog as an extension of Themeborne's Escape the Dark games. The game allows up to five players to control characters from The Last of Us. The goal is to reach safety from enemies while exploring locations from the game. Themeborne announced the game in November 2022; it was funded through a Kickstarter campaign, and released in November 2024.

Arcs: Conflict & Collapse in the Reach is a space opera board game designed by Cole Wehrle, illustrated by Kyle Ferrin, and published by Leder Games in 2024 alongside Arcs: The Blighted Reach Expansion, a large expansion which significantly modifies the base game into a three-act legacy campaign. In Arcs, players compete to gain the most points by fulfilling variable objectives, taking actions through a trick-taking system and using different dice to attack enemy starships, with each player possessing variable powers. Following initial releases to Kickstarter backers, the base game and expansion were released to retail on October 1 2024.
Women are Werewolves is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game by Yeonsoo Julian Kim and C.A.S. Taylor about nonbinary characters in a family where only the women transform into werewolves beneath the full moon. It was published in 2022 by 9th Level Games after a successful Kickstarter campaign raised $23,556. Women are Werewolves won "Game of the Year" at Dicebreaker's 2023 Tabletop Awards and the first annual Nonbinary Tabletop Awards in 2024.
