Throwing Up are an English punk band from London, England, formed in 2010. Members Clare James Clare, and Camille Benett previously played in all-girl four piece Headless. [1] whilst drummer Ben Rayner previously played in such bands as Fading Fast, The Permanent, Shitting Fists, and This Time Around. [2]

NME magazine described Throwing Up as "London's latest DIY shit-storm", [3] whilst Maximumrocknroll said "Throwing Up make super cool snarly stripped-down punk that sounds to these ears like a catchy post-grunge echo of DC’s Chalk Circle mixed with a bit of that lo-fi Messthetics-style hustle bustle". [4]

Their first single "Toothache" was self-released in March 2011, their second single "Mother Knows Best" was released on What's Your Rupture? in October 2011. Their third single "Big Love" was released in March 2012. The band played SXSW in Austin, Texas in both 2011 and 2012.

Their debut album was released on 8 July 2013 on Tim Burgess' O Genesis Records [5] with the single "Medicine" released on 1 July 2013. The album was critically well received [6] and was followed by a tour with the Irish band Fight Like Apes, as well as festival performances over the summer. [7]

Mïngle Härde is an English hardcore punk band, formed in London in 2012. The group features Frank Turner on vocals, Ben Dawson on drums and Matt Nasir on guitar. Turner and Dawson are both former members of hardcore punk outfit Million Dead. Frank Turner is now best known for his solo folk-punk material, and Matt Nasir is part of his backing band, The Sleeping Souls. Lyrically, Mïngle Härde is not as serious as Frank Turner's other projects, with Turner stating, "Lyrically it's very different from what I do now, it's kind of depraved. The first song we wrote is about Natalie Portman's tapeworm using her as a glove puppet to lead an uprising in Hollywood. We're writing a whole pile of new songs and we're going to do some live dates soon."

The JCQ were a British rock band from Eastbourne, United Kingdom. They were signed to Hassle Records. Described as a "mental breakdown set to music", the band released one EP and two full-length studio albums: Ten Stages of a Makeup in 2010, That Was Then, This Is Now and 2011 and Mechanical Young in 2013.

24–7 Rock Star Shit is the seventh studio album by English band The Cribs. It was released in August 2017 under Sonic Blew, a partner label of Sony RED. The album is the band's second album recorded at Electrical Audio with producer Steve Albini following 2012's In the Belly of the Brazen Bull. The album has been described as a back-to-basics return to the band's early punk/grunge sound in contrast to the more pop-driven sound of their previous album For All My Sisters.

"People" is a song by English band the 1975 from their fourth studio album, Notes on a Conditional Form (2020). The song was released on 22 August 2019, through Dirty Hit and Polydor Records as the lead single from the album. It was written by band members Matty Healy, George Daniel, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald. Production of the song was handled by Daniel and Healy alongside Jonathan Gilmore. An anarcho-punk and screamo song, it features an intense, heavy rock instrumentation consisting of desert-rock guitar riffs, straightforward chords, breakneck drums and "renegade" percussion. Lyrically, it is a protest song that calls for change and rebellion to deal with global, political and environmental turmoil, and deals with themes of desperation, urgency and anxiety.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">The Buoys (Australian band)</span> Australian punk band

The Buoys are an Australian alternative rock band formed in 2016. Since May 2019 the line-up has been Courtney Cunningham on bass guitar, Hilary Geddes on lead guitar, Tess Wilkin on drums and founding mainstay, Zoe Catterall on rhythm guitar and lead vocals. They have released three extended plays, Soft Boy (2017), All This Talking Gets Us Nowhere (2020) and Unsolicited Advice for Your DIY Disaster (2021), as well as several singles and they have toured nationally.

Quantice Never Crashed was a screamo band from Staten Island, New York, that was most active in the mid-2000s. Founding members included Phil on bass, Vinny on guitar, Mikey on drums, Pat on guitar, and Philly on vocals. Phil DiMarco, the band's bassist, went on to play drums in emo band Common Sage.
