Tia Sobhy (born February 7, 2003 in the United States) is an Egyptian rhythmic gymnast, and 3 time gold medal winner in the 2016, 2018 and 2020 African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. [2] [3]

Career

Sobhy joined Gezira Sporting Club at the age of 3 to practice rhythmic gymnastics and represented the club at national and international competitions. [4] [3]

In 2016, She competed in the junior group events at the 2016 African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Walvis Bay, winning three gold medals in the 5-hoop events, the 5-ball events and in the 5-hoop + 5-ball event. [5]

In 2018, Sobhy competed in the junior events at the 2018 African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Cairo, winning 4 gold medals in the team competition, all-around, ball and ribbon, and two silver medals in hoop and clubs, which qualified her for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Argentina. [6]

At the 2020 African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Sharm el-Sheikh, she competed in the group events, winning 3 gold medals in the all-around, 5 balls events and 3 hoops + 2 clubs event. [2]

She was selected to represent Egypt at the 2020 Summer Olympics alongside Login Elsasyed, Polina Fouda, Salma Saleh, and Malak Selim. They finished thirteenth in the qualification round for the group all-around. [7]

She is the third Israeli athlete and first Israeli woman to win an Olympic gold medal in any sport, and the first Israeli rhythmic gymnast to win an Olympic medal. She became the first rhythmic gymnast from outside a post-Soviet republic to win a gold medal at an Olympics where former Soviet states participated. Ashram announced her retirement from competitive gymnastics at a press conference in Tel Aviv on 4 April 2022.

Boryana Nikolaeva Kaleyn is a Bulgarian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the World champion in the team event at the 2023 World Championships in Valencia, as well as silver medalist in the clubs and ribbon finals. She is the 2023 European all-around champion as well as in the team competition, the 2022 European champion with ball, ribbon, and in the team competition, the 2021 and 2022 European all-around silver medalist, and the 2018 World team silver medalist. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the Rhythmic Gymnastics Individual All-Around and finished 5th place. At the national level, she is a four-time Bulgarian National Champion.

Lala Dmitrievna Kramarenko is a Russian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2019 junior world champion in ball and clubs and the 2018 European junior champion in ball and ribbon. At the 2021 European Championships she won team gold. She is also a three-time junior national all around champion (2017-2019) and a two-time national all around silver medalist (2020-2021).
