Tila is a planned Haredi city in the northern Negev desert of Israel. Once constructed, it will be under the Bnei Shimon Regional Council. [1]
The city is intended to accommodate around 80,000 Haredim with 15,000 apartments currently being constructed. [2]

Mishmar HaNegev is a kibbutz in the northern fringe of the Negev desert in Israel. Located on Road 264, about two kilometres south of the Bedouin city of Rahat and around ten kilometres from Beersheba, it falls under the jurisdiction of Bnei Shimon Regional Council. In 2022 its population was 1,124.
Abu Basma Regional Council was a regional council operating in 2003-2012 and covering several Bedouin villages in the northwestern Negev desert of Israel. Following the Minister of Interior decision on November 5, 2012 it was split into two newly created bodies: Neve Midbar Regional Council and al-Kasom Regional Council.

Tirabin al-Sana, also Tarabin, is a Bedouin village in the Negev desert in southern Israel. The village was built for the Tarabin tribe. Located near Rahat and Mishmar HaNegev, it falls under the jurisdiction of al-Kasom Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 1,294.
Idan HaNegev Industrial Park is an industrial park being built southeast of the Bedouin city of Rahat, Israel. The goal is to alleviate unemployment in the local Bedouin population. It is situated in a zone under the jurisdiction of Bnei Shimon Regional Council, between Lehavim and Rahat, close to the city of Beersheba. It will cover an area of some 3,500 dunams (3.5 km2). Some Local Bedouin leaders praised the initiative. According to Rahat Mayor Faiz Abu Sahiban, "it is a good solution which could considerably reduce unemployment in the city, particularly among Bedouin women". However other Bedouin say government-subsidized investment perks mostly benefit large Jewish-owned companies that are under no obligation to hire Bedouins. "It's not answering the needs of the people," said Jihad Elubra, manager at Mati, a government-funded nonprofit group that assists Bedouin-owned businesses in southern Israel. "It's only helping big companies"

Abu Talul is a Bedouin township in southern Israel. Located in the Negev desert around ten kilometres east of Beersheba and to the south of highway 25, it falls under the jurisdiction of Neve Midbar Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 2,492.
The Cadets for Municipal Service program in Israel is a joined initiative in Israel between the Israeli government and few NGOs, that was created with the goal to train a cadre of dynamic new municipal leaders for Israel's periphery. The goal of the program is to give excellence students not only academic training, but the tools, understanding, sensitivity and leadership qualities to deal with the complex municipal environment in under-served communities in Israel. The program was conducted in order to improve the quality of the human power in the weak municipalities of Israel.
Almog Cohen is an Israeli far-right politician, former police officer, and militia founder from the city of Beersheba in the Negev region. He has served as a member of the Knesset for Otzma Yehudit since 2022. He has served as a regional coordinator for the party. Owing to his police and militia background, Cohen acquired nicknames including "the sheriff" and "the warrior from the Negev" within the party.
