Tim W. Brown (born October 25,1962) is an American politician who has served as the President of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments since 2016. He previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives,representing the 3rd District from 2013 to 2016.
Brown graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1981. Brown received a bachelor's degree in business from Bowling Green State University in 1986.He formerly served as a Wood County Commissioner and as a district representative for United States Congressman Paul Gillmor. In 2013,Brown completed Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government as a David Bohnett Foundation LGBTQ Victory Institute Leadership Fellow.
A member of the Ohio Republican Party,Brown represents the 3rd District.He won his first term in 2012 to succeed Randy Gardner by defeating Democrat Kelly Wicks and Libertarian Nathan Eberly with 51% of the vote.
Brown is the first openly gay man to serve in the Ohio state legislature,and only the second LGBT person following Nickie Antonio.He will also be one of just two openly gay Republican state legislators in the United States,alongside Pennsylvania state representative Mike Fleck.

Michael Herman Michaud is an American businessman and politician from Maine. Michaud served as the U.S. representative for Maine's 2nd congressional district from 2003 to 2015. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The primarily rural district comprises nearly 80% of the state by area and includes the cities of Lewiston,Auburn,Bangor,Presque Isle,and Ellsworth. It is the largest Congressional district by area east of the Mississippi River.

A Democrat from Massachusetts,he represented the 34th Middlesex district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 2005 to 2014. The district includes parts of Medford and Somerville. Sciortino was a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2013 special election to succeed Ed Markey as a U.S. Representative for Massachusetts's 5th district. He lost to Katherine Clark. His campaign’s television commercial with his father,a member of the Tea Party,received national publicity and went viral online.

Nickie J. Antonio is an American politician from Ohio. A Democrat,she serves in the Ohio Senate representing the 23rd district,which is located in the western portion of Cuyahoga County and contains the western third of Cleveland and some of the nearby western suburbs. She previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives representing the 13th district from 2011 to 2018. A former member of Lakewood City Council,Antonio was elected to the lower chamber of the legislature in 2010 and took office on January 3,2011,and was re-elected in the 2012 General election,receiving 75% of the vote. She was re-elected consecutively in the General elections of 2014 and 2016. After being term limited in the lower chamber of the legislature,Antonio was elected to the upper chamber of the legislature in 2018 and took office on January 7,2019.
Brian Kendall Sims is an American politician,activist and attorney. A Democrat,he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 182nd district from 2013 until 2022. Sims is also a lawyer and advocate for LGBT civil rights. Sims is the first openly gay elected state legislator in Pennsylvania history. He won re-election on November 6,2018. He was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania in 2022,finishing in second place behind Austin Davis with 25% of the vote.

A member of the Democratic Party,Takano became the first openly gay person of Asian descent in Congress upon taking office.
Dominick Moreno is an American politician,currently serving as a state legislator in Colorado. A Democrat,Moreno was elected to the 21st district of the Colorado Senate in 2016. He previously represented the 32nd district in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2012 to 2016.
Don Coram is an American politician who served as a member of the Colorado Senate and the Colorado House of Representatives. In the state senate,he represented District 6,comprising the counties of:Archuleta,Dolores,La Plata,Montezuma,Montrose,Ouray,San Juan,and San Miguel. In the Colorado House of Representatives he represented District 58 from January 2011 to January 2017. In 2022,Coram ran against Lauren Boebert in the Republican primary for the 3rd Congressional district in Colorado. On June 28,2022,Boebert defeated Coram by 31 points.

Moss previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2014 - 2018,and remains the youngest-ever member of the Southfield City Council.

The 2016 United States House of Representatives elections in Ohio were held on November 8,2016,to elect the 16 U.S. representatives from the state of Ohio,one from each of the state's 16 congressional districts. The elections coincided with the 2016 U.S. presidential election,as well as other elections to the House of Representatives,elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections. The primaries were held on March 15.
