Timothy Chaisson (born September 6, 1986) is a Canadian singer/songwriter from Souris, Prince Edward Island. He is a member of Juno Award winning group, The East Pointers.
Tim Chaisson is a member of the extended Chaisson family, who are prominent in the music scene of Prince Edward Island. Though he had been playing many instruments since he was a child, Chaisson began his professional career at the age of 14 when he was asked to be the bassist in Celtic/contemporary band Kindle which included his two brothers and three cousins. He was the youngest member of the group, touring from 2000 to 2005.
In 2008, Chaisson was joined by Morning Fold, which consisted of Chaisson, guitarist Tian Wigmore, bassist Brien McCarthy, and drummer Nathaniel Lamoureux. In September 2009, Tim Chaisson & Morning Fold released their album, Broken Hearted Beat which was recorded in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at Joel Plaskett’s New Scotland Yard Studio and in Austin, Texas at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Studio. The album was co-written by Chaisson, Plaskett, and Gordie Johnson. Johnson also produced the album. In March 2010, the band filmed their first music video for “Broken Hearted Beat” in Toronto with Canadian director John “JP” Poliquin. The video was released in May 2010 on CMT and also made it to the #1 spot on Much More Music’s Top 10. Immediately following the video’s release, its single was released and made it to #1 on the East Coast Countdown. The music video for “Slippin’ Away", also directed by Poliquin, was released in October 2010. It reached #8 on the Much More Music Top 20 Countdown.
Since the record's release Tim Chaisson & Morning Fold have toured and played shows across Canada and Australia with such acts as The Trews, Joel Plaskett, The Tragically Hip, Big Sugar, Finger 11, Lady Antebellum, Shannon Noll, Lennie Gallant, Matt Andersen, and Ashley MacIsaac. Chaisson performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in British Columbia, NXNE, CMW, Indie Music Week, Burlington's Sound of Music Festival, Sydney Blues & Roots Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, and Pop Montreal to name a few. Chaisson has also been featured on The Trews song, “Highway of Heroes” playing fiddle and singing back up vocals. He also recorded fiddle and vocals on its new version for the hit TV show, Combat Hospital. He has also been featured on other recordings with acts such as Big Sugar, The SIDH, Grady, Colette Cheverie, and Chrissy Crowley. Chaisson's song “Broken Hearted Beat” was also featured on an episode of CBC's 'Heartland’.

The Juno Awards, or simply known as the Junos, are awards presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements in Canada's music industry. They were originally called the Gold Leaf Awards, and the trophy resembled a metronome. Alongside the Canadian Screen Awards, they are considered one of the main annual Canadian entertainment award shows. The first Juno Awards ceremony was held on February 23, 1970 to honour the musical accomplishments of performers for the year 1969. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies.
William Joel MacDonald Plaskett is a Canadian rock musician and songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was a member of Halifax alternative rock band Thrush Hermit in the 1990s. Plaskett performs in a number of genres, from blues and folk to hard rock, country, and pop.
The Trews are a Canadian rock band from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, consisting of vocalist Colin MacDonald, guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, and drummer Chris Gormley. The band is currently based in Hamilton, Ontario. Two Hours Traffic was a Canadian indie rock band, based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. They are named after a line in the prologue to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Critics have drawn comparisons to 1970s power pop band Big Star, but the band members tend to cite Nick Lowe as a prime influence. The band was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize in 2008 for the album Little Jabs. In 2013, the band performed on their final tour, disbanding afterward.

David Myles is a Canadian songwriter and musician born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Myles lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick, as of September 2020, moving from Halifax, Nova Scotia. His music has often been labeled folk jazz, although he prefers simply to call it "roots" music. An independent artist who self-releases his albums, Myles has been able to gain an increasingly large audience, in part because of his active touring schedule and in part because of his cross-genre musical collaborations, which include a single made with the rapper Classified that became the biggest-selling rap single in the history of Canadian music.

Kellie Loder is an independent singer-songwriter from Newfoundland who plays drums, guitar and piano. Mo Kenney is a Canadian singer/songwriter based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Catching the ear of noted Canadian rocker Joel Plaskett while still in school, Kenney released their first album in 2012, which Plaskett produced. Kenney is known for their lyrical prowess and engaging stage presence. Called "Nova Scotia's rising star" by The Scene magazine, they have toured with Plaskett as well as with Ron Sexsmith. In 2013, their song "Sucker" won the prestigious SOCAN Songwriting Prize.

The East Pointers are a Canadian contemporary folk music group from Prince Edward Island, who won the Juno Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year for their album Secret Victory at the Juno Awards of 2017. The group originally consisted of guitarist Jake Charron, banjoist Koady Chaisson, and fiddler Tim Chaisson. They perform Celtic-influenced original songs and instrumentals with contemporary influences.
