Timothy Charles Coyle (born 22 July 1960) is a former Australian cricketer,who played first class cricket for Tasmania. He has been the coach of Tasmania since 15 June 2005.
After being a member of St Patricks College's state title winning team in 1977,Coyle was a consistent wicket-keeper who failed to cement a regular place in the side,although he did represent his home state seven times in the 1990–91 season. Following his retirement from playing,Coyle became a regional coach in his home town of Launceston before being appointed as the Tasmanian Cricket Association's game development manager in 2000,a position he held for five years,before becoming senior coach for Tasmania.
During his coaching reign,he successfully guided Tasmania to their first ever Pura Cup title,winning the competition in the 2006–07 season.
The Tasmania men's cricket team, nicknamed the Tigers, represents the Australian state of Tasmania in cricket. They compete annually in the Australian domestic senior men's cricket season, which consists of the first-class Sheffield Shield and the limited overs Matador BBQs One-Day Cup.
Dirk MacDonald Wellham is a former Australian cricketer who played in six Test matches and 17 One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 1981 and 1987. He is one of three players to score a century in both his first class and Test debuts. He was the first player to captain three Australian states having captained New South Wales, Tasmania and Queensland during his career. As NSW captain, he won the Sheffield Shield in 1984–85 and 1985–86 and the McDonald's Cup in 1984–85.He is the nephew of New South Wales first-class cricketer Walter Wellham.
James Redfern Hopes is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. Hopes played domestic cricket for Queensland, and had represented Australia in One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket from 2005 to 2010. Hopes was consistently one of the best bowlers in Australian domestic cricket through his career, and when he retired in 2016 he was the top wicket-taker of the last decade despite never being selected to play in a Test match for Australia.
Michael James Di Venuto is an Australian cricket coach and former first-class cricketer who represented both Australia and Italy. The bulk of his first-class cricket career was spent playing for Tasmanian Tigers. After retiring from representative cricket in Australia, he continued playing for Durham County Cricket Club till July 2012, when he announced retirement from County Cricket. He has also previously played cricket in England for Derbyshire and Sussex. A left hand opening batsman, his form for Tasmania throughout the mid-1990s earned him a call up for the Australian national cricket team in the One Day International arena, although after nine games he was dropped. Like some of his contemporary Tasmanian teammates such as Jamie Cox, Dene Hills, and Shaun Young, Di Venuto can be considered unlucky to have not had a more successful international career, as he was playing at a time when the Australian national cricket team was highly dominant, and difficult to earn selection for. After retiring from Durham, he was appointed Australia's full-time batting coach by head coach Mickey Arthur, and was then head coach of Surrey from 2016 until 2020.
Owen Columba Coyle is a professional football manager and former player who currently the head coach of Indian Super League club Chennaiyin. He played as a striker for several clubs in England and Scotland, and made one appearance for the Republic of Ireland national team.
Damien Geoffrey Wright is an Australian cricket coach and former first-class cricketer who coached Hobart Hurricanes cricket team. Wright made his debut for Tasmania in 1997, playing with the team until switching to Victoria for the 2008–09 season. In 2002 he played in the Scottish cricket team as their one permitted overseas player—he also had previous spells in county cricket with Northamptonshire, Glamorgan and Somerset. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler. He has a side-on bowling action and an ability to bounce the ball sharply. Wright started Coaching the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League 03 in 2013–14, he coached the team to defeat the Melbourne Stars, who were undefeated in the tournament until then. The Hurricanes then lost the final to the Perth Scorchers. Wright then coached the Hurricanes to the semi-finals in the Champions League T20 2014 in India.
Adam Richard Griffith is a former Australian cricket player and Australian bowling coach. He was appointed as the cricket coach for Tasmania for the 2017–2018 season. He played first-class cricket for Tasmania and also had a spell at Leicestershire. He played his club cricket for South Launceston Cricket Club & North Hobart Cricket Club.
Timothy David Paine is a former Australian cricketer and a former captain of the Australia national cricket team in Test cricket. A right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper, he plays for the Tasmanian Tigers in Australian domestic cricket and was the captain of the Hobart Hurricanes before his selection for Australia in the 2017–18 Ashes series. During his time with Australia, Paine won the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy.
Alexander James Doolan is an Australian former cricketer, who played domestic cricket for Tasmania from 2009 to 2021 and played four Test matches for Australia in 2014. Despite almost scoring a century on debut, Doolan was dropped after his fourth match and never returned to the national team. He retired from cricket in 2021. As of December 2022, Doolan is the eighth-highest Sheffield Shield run-scorer of all-time for Tasmania.
Jonathan Wayne Wells is an Australian cricket player, who plays for Western Australia in first-class and one-day cricket, and the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL). He originates from Tasmania, and represented Tasmania in both first-class and one-day cricket prior.

Ben Rohrer is an Australian former cricketer who played for the New South Wales in Australian domestic cricket from 2007 to 2016 and various Twenty20 teams in the Big Bash League. Rohrer had a breakout season in the 2012–13 Big Bash League season, which resulted in his selection for the Australian national cricket team in a Twenty20 International and a contract with the Delhi Daredevils in the 2013 Indian Premier League. Rohrer retired from cricket in 2018 and took up a coaching role with Tasmania.
Gregory Shipperd is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer who is the current coach of the Sydney Sixers coaching them to the Big Bash League title in BBL09 in 2019–20. He was also the coach of Delhi Daredevils. As a player, he represented Western Australia from 1977–78 to 1984–85 and finished his career with Tasmania in 1990–91. He went on to coach Tasmania and Victoria, as well as stints as coach of Twenty-20 cricket franchises Melbourne Stars and Delhi Daredevils.

Ricky Ponting is a former Australian international cricketer who was born on 19 December 1974. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the Australian cricket team against the South Africa cricket team in New Zealand at the age of 20 on 15 February 1995. Hobart Hurricanes are an Australian professional men's Twenty20 franchise cricket team based in Hobart, Tasmania. They compete in Australia's domestic Big Bash League. The Hurricanes play the majority of their home matches at Blundstone Arena in Hobart, with additional home matches at the University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston. The Hurricanes wear a purple cricket uniform.
