Tim Kenney is an American college athletics administrator and former basketball coach. Kenney served as athletic director at St. Bonaventure University from 2015 to 2021. He previously served as assistant athletic director at Stony Brook University from 1997 to 2004, and as associate athletic director at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2004 to 2015. Kenney attended college at the University at Buffalo, where he was an All-American breaststroker on the Buffalo Bulls swimming team. [1] [2] [3] Kenney credits his swimming career success to his mentor, Stewart ‘Clams’ Karp, who he trained with during his youth in Dix Hills, Long Island. Kenney later served as an assistant basketball coach on the Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball team from 1995 to 1996, [1] prior to beginning his career in athletic administration. Kenney was named athletic director at St. Bonaventure University on March 10, 2015. The school's team currently competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference and plays its home games at the Reilly Center. The Bonnies are currently coached by all-time coaching wins leader Mark Schmidt, who during his 12th season surpassed former coach Larry Weise with his 203rd victory.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies are the varsity intercollegiate athletic programs of St. Bonaventure University, based in St. Bonaventure, New York between the two towns of Allegany and Olean. The 2014 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) was a single-elimination tournament of 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams that did not participate in the NCAA Tournament or the NIT. The opening games were held on Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19. After the quarterfinals, the bracket was reseeded. A best-of-three championship series between the eventual winner Siena College and the loser Fresno State was held on March 31, April 2, and April 5 in a best of three series. Games were televised by the CBS Sports Network.

The Bonnies, led by 11th-year head coach Mark Schmidt, played their home games at the Reilly Center in Olean, New York as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. They finished the season 26–8, 14–4 in A-10 play to finish in second place. They defeated Richmond in the quarterfinals of the A-10 Tournament before losing in the semifinals to Davidson. They received one of the last four at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament where they defeated UCLA in the First Four before losing in the First Round to Florida.

Larry Weise is a former American basketball coach and athletic director. Weise was the head basketball coach at St. Bonaventure University from 1961 to 1973, compiling an overall record of 202–90, and leading the Brown Indians to an NCAA Final Four appearance in 1970. He later served as athletic director for St. Bonaventure from 1973 to 1992. Weise was elected to the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
