Timothy David Treloar is a Welsh actor. He is known for voicing the Third Doctor in the Big Finish Productions Doctor Who audio series and for playing Sergeant Major Tysoe in Bombshell . A well known stage actor, he has also appeared in several high-profile films including Maleficent , 100 Streets and Dolittle .
Born in Bridgend, Wales, Treloar studied at LAMDA [1] before earning his first screen role in Bomber in 2000 before working his way into becoming a regular actor seen on-screen. He then appeared in the film Wondrous Oblivion and then the television series Mine All Mine and Bombshell . Shortly after, Treloar appeared in two episodes of The Bill before appearing as a regular in both Casualty and Midsomer Murders as well as a role in one episode of A Touch of Frost . In 2010, Treloar played the main role of DS Simon Vedder in Silent Witness as well as playing a Norwegian terrorist in Mammon , following this with a part in Maleficent .
In 2015, Treloar began voicing the Third Doctor, previously played by Jon Pertwee, for the audio series of Doctor Who produced by Big Finish Productions, starring alongside original cast members including Katy Manning and Richard Franklin. [2] Since then, Treloar has voiced the Third Doctor in eight volumes of audio adventures for the Doctor Who series, [3] as well as voicing roles in Big Finish's series of Blake's 7 , The Avengers and Survivors .
Treloar followed this with a two-episode stint in Doctors before starring in Crossing Lines , Dark Heart , Father Brown and Call the Midwife and also the film 100 Streets opposite Idris Elba. He also gained recognition appearing in the stage version of Birdsong as Jack Firebrace and later starred as the same role in the film version which was released in 2020. [4] He also appeared in the film The Haunting of Alice Bowles with Tamzin Outhwaite in 2020 [5] as well as writing and starring in his own internet comedy series entitled Peter Peter's Positivity Programme in which he played a hassled geography teacher. [6] In March 2021, Treloar appeared in the first episode of ITV crime drama series Grace, [7] as well as an episode of the BBC soap opera Doctors as Dave Conroy. [8]

John Devon Roland Pertwee, known professionally as Jon Pertwee, was an English actor, comedian, entertainer, cabaret performer and TV presenter. Born into a theatrical family, he served in the Royal Navy and the Naval Intelligence Division during the Second World War. In his early career, he worked as a stage comedian, which included performing at the Glasgow Empire Theatre and sharing a bill with Max Wall and Jimmy James.
Paul John McGann is an English actor. He came to prominence for portraying Percy Toplis in the television serial The Monocled Mutineer (1986), then starred in the dark comedy Withnail and I (1987), which was a critical success and developed a cult following. David Hattersley Warner was an English actor who worked in film, television and theatre. The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot is a 2013 comedy spoof and homage to the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who. It appeared on the BBC Red Button service after the broadcast of "The Day of the Doctor", the official 50th anniversary special. The programme was written and directed by Peter Davison, who stars alongside fellow former Doctor actors Sylvester McCoy, Colin Baker, and Paul McGann. It features appearances from more contemporary stars of the show David Tennant, Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, and John Barrowman, as well as Doctor Who executive producer Steven Moffat, his predecessor Russell T Davies, and numerous others connected to the programme, all playing themselves in a more or less parodic manner.
In February 2013, Big Finish Productions announced that, following the conclusions of the Lost Stories and the monthly Companion Chronicles, they would be launching The Early Adventures, a series of brand new stories featuring the First and Second Doctors. The four-part plays star surviving lead actors from the original series, and follow a similar structure to the Lost Stories set in this era, mixing dialogue and narration.
The Third Doctor Adventures is a sci-fi audio series produced by Big Finish Productions based on the TV show Doctor Who. It sees the return of Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates, and John Levene as Sergeant Benton while the voice of the Third Doctor is performed by Tim Treloar replacing the original actor, Jon Pertwee, who died in 1996.
