Timothy Hoven (born December 22, 1963) is a Wisconsin politician and businessman.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Hoven graduated from University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh with a degree in criminal justice. Beginning in 1995, Hoven served in the Wisconsin State Assembly. [1] On August 1, 2002, Hoven resigned from the Wisconsin State Assembly to return to the private sector. [2]
Scott Lawrence Fitzgerald is an American politician and former newspaper publisher. A Republican, he represents Wisconsin's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. The district includes many of Milwaukee's northern and western suburbs, such as Waukesha, West Bend, Brookfield, and Mequon. He represented the 13th district in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1995 to 2021. After the 2018 elections, in which Democrats were elected governor, attorney general and secretary of state in Wisconsin, Fitzgerald pushed for legislation to remove powers from the incoming Democratic administration.

She succeeded Fred Risser in 2021, who was the longest-serving state legislator in American history. She previously served two terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012 and for Governor of Wisconsin in 2018.

The 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Wisconsin were held on November 6, 2018, to elect the eight U.S. representatives from the state of Wisconsin, one from each of the state's eight congressional districts. The elections coincided with other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections. The Wisconsin Partisan Primary was held on August 14, 2018, with the governor, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, odd-numbered Wisconsin State Senate seats, and all Wisconsin Assembly seats on the ballot. Wisconsin was notable in 2018 for being the only state in which the party receiving the majority of votes held a minority of congressional seats.

This will be the first election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census. Currently, 61 Assembly seats are held by Republicans and 38 seats are held by Democrats. The primary election is scheduled for August 9, 2022.
