Tina Muir (born 8 August 1988) is a former elite marathoner who is now CEO of Running for Real, and hosts a podcast of the same name. [1] [2] As a professional runner she was a 2:36 marathoner, represented Great Britain and was sponsored by Saucony. [3] [4]

In her first race following retirement at what was considered the peak of her career, [5] Muir won the 2019 Disney World Half Marathon. [6] In that same year, she published Overcoming Amenorrhea: Get Your Period Back. Get Your Life Back. [7] In 2022 she and Zoe Rom will release Becoming a Sustainable Runner. [8]

As of 2020, she is sponsored by Altra Running. [3]

Alberto Salazar is an American former track coach and long-distance runner. Born in Cuba, Salazar immigrated to the United States as a child with his family, living in Connecticut and then in Wayland, Massachusetts, where Salazar competed in track and field in high school. Salazar won the New York City Marathon three times in the early 1980s, and won the 1982 Boston Marathon in a race known as the "Duel in the Sun". He set American track records for 5,000 m and 10,000 m in 1982. Salazar was later the head coach of the Nike Oregon Project. He won the IAAF Coaching Achievement Award in 2013.

Jenny Wood-Allen MBE was a Scottish marathon runner and Guinness World Record holder, running in over 30 marathons since 1983 and earning more than £70,000 for charity.

Kara Goucher is an American long-distance runner, author, television commentator, and podcaster. She represented the United States in the 10000 metres at the 2017 and 2019 World Athletics Championships, finishing 9th and 10th. In June 2021, she won the 10000m at the 2020 US Olympic Trials and placed 10th in the 10000m final at the 2020 Summer Olympics. In 2024, she placed second in the marathon at the US Olympic Trials, qualifying for the 2024 Summer Olympics. She competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics Women's marathon on 11 August 2024, where she finished 23rd.

Lonah Korlima Chemtai Salpeter is an Israeli Olympic runner. Born in Kenya, she represents Israel internationally. She won the bronze medal in the marathon at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. At the European Athletics Championships in the 10,000 metres, Salpeter won the gold medal in 2018, and earned a bronze medal in 2022. She won the 2020 Tokyo Marathon, won the silver medal at the 2022 New York City Marathon, and finished third at the 2023 Boston Marathon.

She is the first woman to break the 2:11 and 2:10 barriers in the marathon, and also holds the sixth-fastest mark of all time for the half marathon, at 1 hour 4 minutes and 2 seconds.

Gabriella Rooker is an American long-distance runner. She has qualified for the 2024 US Olympic marathon trials. In 2024, she was inducted into the University of Wisconsin La Crosse wall of fame.
