Tina Thomsen is a Danish-born Australian actress whose roles include Finlay Roberts in the soap opera Home and Away and Tanga on Farscape . [1]

Early life

Thomson was born on 17 November 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her family migrated to Australia in 1982 and she grew up in Brisbane, Queensland. She attended Clontarf Beach State High School. [2]

Career

Thomsen joined Home and Away in 1991 as Irene Roberts’ daughter Finlay Roberts and remained on the series until 1994. She made guest returns in 1996 and 1997.

She had guest roles in long-running medical series' G.P. and All Saints , sci-fi series Farscape and drama series Big Sky . She also had a recurring role in Foxtel comedy/drama series Shark Bay in 1996, in which she reunited with her former Home and Away co-star Dieter Brummer.

Thomsen also co-hosted a 1993 episode of the Australian edition of Saturday Disney together with then boyfriend, actor and musician Charlton Hill and UK host, British actress Carmen Ejogo.

Personal life

Thomsen lives in Redcliffe, Queensland with her family. She now spends her time teaching acting classes [3] focussing on screen performance, with her business Zip Studios. [4]

Thomsen dated her Home and Away co-star Charlton Hill (known at the time as Andrew Hill), who played her on-screen boyfriend Haydn Ross at the time.

Paradise Beach is an Australian television series created by Rick Maier, Wayne Doyle and Bevan Lee and made by Village Roadshow Pictures. It was made in association with America's Genesis Entertainment which later merged with New World Television for the Nine Network, and aired between 1993 and 1994. Irene Roberts (<i>Home and Away</i>) Fictional character

Irene Roberts is a fictional character from the Australian television soap opera Home and Away. She was originally played by actress Jacqy Phillips from her introduction in Episode 887 shown on 29 October 1991, until 13 May 1992. Following Phillips' departure, the part was recast to Lynne McGranger, who debuted in Episode 1147, broadcast on 12 January 1993. Irene was initially a recurring character, but on 7 October 1993 McGranger was promoted to the regular cast. McGranger is one of the longest-serving cast members on the show.
