Tiny Moving Parts is an American emo band from Benson, Minnesota. Formed by brothers William and Matthew Chevalier, and their cousin Dylan Mattheisen, the band has released eight studio albums since their 2008 formation in junior high. Their eponymously-titled most recent album was self-released on August 26, 2022.
Tiny Moving Parts is a self-described family band consisting of brothers William Chevalier (drums) and Matthew Chevalier (bass, vocals), and their cousin Dylan Mattheisen (guitar, vocals) who were also all students at Benson High School. The trio started playing together in junior high and have been together since then. [4] After releasing their first album Waves Rise, Waves Recede, the Ocean Is Full of Waves, they followed up with their second, Moving to Antarctica on June 19, 2010. Their third album, This Couch Is Long & Full of Friendship, was released through Kind of Like Records on January 13, 2013. [1] On June 12, "Clouds Above My Head" was released as a free download. On July 9, the album was released physically. Later in the month, the group toured alongside The Front Bottoms, Frameworks and Hostage Calm. [5]
In March 2014, the group performed with Japanther. [6] Later that month, the band signed to Triple Crown Records. In April and May, the group went on tour with Frameworks, Gates and Free Throw. [7] In June, the group supported Modern Baseball (band) on their headlining US tour. [8] On July 9, "Always Focused" was made available for streaming. [9] On September 9, they released their fourth album, Pleasant Living. [10] In July and August, the group supported State Champs on their headlining US tour, dubbed The Shot Boys of Summer Tour. [11] Between October and December, the group supported Modern Baseball on their headlining US tour. [12] In March 2016, they announced that their fifth album, Celebrate, will be released on May 20, 2016. In the same announcement, they released the first single from Celebrate entitled "Happy Birthday". [13] The band went on a spring 2016 tour supporting The Wonder Years, Letlive and Microwave. [14] The group's next album, Swell, was released on January 26, 2018. [15]
On February 28, 2019, an anonymous Twitter user accused Mattheisen of sexual assault. [16] [17] On March 7, Mattheisen released a statement on the band's Facebook to acknowledge the accusations and issued an apology to the victim. He further explained he reached out to the victim, offering to work with an independent mediator so she could have "a space to safely share their story while retaining privacy and confidentiality." The woman declined, stating they were not ready. In the same post, Mattheisen announced the band would be donating all the proceeds for their upcoming tour to charities, as well as committing to seeking therapy. Mattheisen's statement saw mixed response, with some praising his acceptance of responsibility, while others expressed anger and disgust at the revelations. [18] [19] [20]

Straylight Run is an indie rock band based in Baldwin, Nassau County, New York. The band released two albums, Straylight Run and The Needles the Space, as well as three EPs, Prepare to Be Wrong, About Time, and Un Mas Dos. In 2010, the band announced that they would be going on indefinite hiatus, but might reunite in the future. Two of the members, John Nolan and Shaun Cooper, previously played in Taking Back Sunday and have since rejoined the band.
New Years Day is an American rock band formed in Anaheim, California, in 2005. After building a reputation strictly through promotion on the social networking website MySpace, the band released its debut self-titled EP in 2006 and their first full-length album My Dear in 2007. Six years after their initial debut, Victim to Villain was finally released, followed by Malevolence in 2015. Malevolence peaked at No. 45 on the Billboard 200, the band's highest charting thus far.
William Control is an American music project founded in 2008 in Seattle, Washington. It was the side project of Aiden's William Francis before Aiden's hiatus, and he later operated as William Control full-time. 'William Control' therefore refers to both the band as a whole and to Francis as his stage name. Francis was signed to Victory Records before starting his own independent label, Control Records, and, as William Control, has released five full-length albums, an EP, two acoustic albums, two live DVDs and a remix album (Remix). The first part of Revelations, The Pale, was released on October 14, 2016. The second EP The Black followed on February 17, 2017, and the third, entitled The Red, followed that with a release date of July 14 of the same year. The album was completed by The White on November 24.
Kellin Quinn Bostwick is an American singer and musician. He is the lead vocalist and keyboardist of the post-hardcore band Sleeping with Sirens. He is known for his distinctive vocals and for collaborating with other artists, as well as the SEGA Sound Team on the game Sonic Frontiers (2022). Some of his best known collaborations are on the tracks "King for a Day" with Pierce the Veil, and "Love Race" with Machine Gun Kelly.
Of Monsters and Men is an Icelandic indie folk/rock band formed in Garðabær in 2010. It consists of lead singer and guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, singer and guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson, lead guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson. The band won the Músíktilraunir in 2010, an annual Battle of the Bands in Iceland. In 2011, Of Monsters and Men released an EP titled Into the Woods. Their 2011 debut album, My Head Is an Animal, reached the No.1 position in Australia, Iceland, and Ireland, as well as on the US Rock and Alternative charts, while peaking at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 album chart, No. 3 in the UK, and top 20 of most European and Canadian charts. Its lead single, "Little Talks", was an international success, reaching the top 10 in most music charts in Europe, including No. 1 in Ireland and Iceland, and No. 1 on US Alternative Songs.
Secrets is an American metalcore band formed in San Diego, California in 2010. After being signed to Rise Records in 2011, Secrets released their debut full-length album The Ascent in January 2012. The record debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and became the first Velocity Records release to appear on the Billboard Top 200, debuting at No. 185.

Happiness Is is the sixth studio album by American rock band Taking Back Sunday. Before the release of their self-titled album in mid-2011, the group had started working on its follow-up. Throughout the rest of the year, and 2012, band members mentioned in interviews they had various song ideas and tracked demos with producers Marc Jacob Hudson and Mike Sapone. In early 2013, the group spent two weeks in West Virginia, during which they wrote songs for the new album. Satisfied with how the demos turned out, they decided to bring in Hudson and Sapone to record their new album. In June and July, the band recorded at Rancho Recordo in Fenton, Michigan with Hudson.

Struggling with writer's block, vocalist Daniel Campbell spoke with several friends who were in bands for inspiration. No Closer to Heaven is a concept album, detailing the loss of a loved one. The album was recorded between March and April 2015. It was produced by Steve Evetts at The Omen Room. "Cardinals" was released as a single in June, followed by "Cigarettes & Saints" a month later. "I Don't Like Who I Was Then" was made available for streaming in August. "Thanks for the Ride" was made available for streaming in early September. No Closer to Heaven was released through Hopeless on September 4. The Target edition featured two additional tracks.
