Tipping Point is an experimental contemporary jazz quartet from England, founded in 2013 by James Mainwaring. All members are alumni of Leeds College of Music and active in other successful projects.
Tipping Point released their debut album, The Earthworm's Eye View, in October 2015 on Lamplight Social Records. The album was described as "Playful, dark, skilful and spontaneous… a surefooted trip across many persuasions in contemporary music" [1] by John Fordham in the Guardian and to have “moments of collective beauty” by Daniel Spicer in Jazzwise . [2] The Earthworm's Eye View was also dubbed a best album of 2015 by Jazz on 3 [3] and The Guardian. [4]

Roller Trio are a British jazz-rock trio, who formed whilst studying at Leeds College of Music in 2011. In 2012, their eponymous debut studio album was nominated for the Mercury Prize alongside a nomination for the band as "Best Jazz Act" at the MOBO Awards that year. In performance, John Fordham of The Guardian described their preview gig for the Mercury prize [as having] "the same wild insouciance that has made their sound a howl of fresh air." DJ and broadcaster Gilles Peterson described their music as "Dark, menacing, bass heavy – the new sound of UK jazzzzzzz!" They are known for their "epic memorably singalong melody hooks and blistering riffs".

Fracture is the second studio album by Leeds Jazz-Rock ensemble Roller Trio following the success of their Mercury Prize nominated debut album Roller Trio. London Jazz News said "This is a marker laid down by a group operating at the vanguard of contemporary jazz." The album received 4 stars in All About Jazz where the reviewer Phil Barnes said, "This ability to blend the accessible and the serious, the melodic and the experimental is a real gift".

Bex Burch's Vula Viel is a jazz group from London, playing music based on the sound of the gyil, a wooden xylophone from West Africa, fused with elements of electronica and minimal music. The group was formed by Bex Burch, a musician from Yorkshire. Burch trained in percussion at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she was introduced to the minimalist music of Steve Reich, and then spent three years with the Dagaaba people of the Upper West Region of Ghana. There she learned music and xylophone making as the apprentice of a master xylophonist Thomas Sekgura before returning to the United Kingdom and forming Vula Viel. The name Vula Viel was given to Burch on the completion of her apprenticeship, and means "Good is Good" in the Dagaaba language, Dagaare.
